Ordered the«back yard» grilled cheese, which came on buttery texas toast with cheddar cheese, bbq sauce and pulled chicken. Chicken was a lil gaimy, maybe from the chicken being re-heated in the microwave, the bbq sauce was just okay. Sandwhich was full of bread and lacked ingredients in between the bread. Needless to say it wasn’t worth the almost $ 10 price for a mediocre sandwhich.

During our recent visit to Chicago French Market we had lunch from Loop Soup and were greatly disappointed. Décor:(see my review of Chicago French Market) Staff: Everyone was nice, although the serving of the soup took a little longer than one would expect(with no real reason as to why). Food: The soup flavor, and name, sounded very tasty but upon actually consuming it we felt the exact opposite. We had the Potato Soup and the Turkey Chili. Both were severed hot but both were VERY watery… The chili seemed to be due to an inordinate amount of grease floating on top(almost like they forgot to drain the meat before adding in everything else — I speak from experience haha) and the potato soup just tasted as if actual water was added(to thin it out). Additionally, the chili had just a dusting of turkey meat and the potato soup lacked any kind of physical potato chunks. Both soups smelled good but failed to deliver. Value: Given that the soup was not enjoyable and, in fact, we ended up not even finishing half of our bowls, I’d say the prices are too high for the product. Next time I’m going to be sure to taste-test the soup prior to ordering, but even then I’m not sure I’d return again in the future.

This place is in the French Market — the soup is delicious — like if there was a soup eating contest and this was the soup there would never be a winner cause the soup is so damn wonderful everyone would eat until they cried soup out of their eyes. Yes. That. Damn. Good. I have had the experience that they tend to sell out of the different varieties before 2 p.m. on a week day — not my most thrilling experience but the soup is so good, whatever they have left will leave you satisfied, so I refuse to take away a single star.
