Dim, dark paneled contemporary bar. It was fairly busy and had a good amount of people coming in and staying for a drink or two and leaving, even late on a super cold Tues. night. Absolutely go in for the drinks. the cocktails. the food wasn’t nearly as satisfying though. alittlie over-priced for snacks and fries… but it is a bar on Randolph. and wasn’t as pricey as i could have been. would go back again.

Lone Wolf you knew what you were doing didn’t you? Situated conveniently next to Au Cheval, I often wonder what percentage of their clientele is playing the waiting game until their number is called to embark on the deliciousness that is next door. I know this because the only times I’ve been to Lone Wolf is when I am waiting for my table. Regardless, it’s a cool upscale hipster-type joint that offers a variety of libations, Three Floyd’s drafts, additional beer options, and a small snack menu. It’s no frills and moderately priced. If you are lucky enough to snag a big comfy booth you could sit all night and people watch. Aside from Haymarket it’s really the only other bar on Randolph as everything else is mainly restaurants. In short, it’s a good little spot to grab a drink before/after dinner. We will definitely be back:)

This is a small spot with great drinks. Came here after happy hour on a Friday night. Waited by bar to snag a seat with a friend and ordered a few rounds. Service was great for how busy it was. Dark, dim, cool place to check out.

Do yourself a favor and try the cheese fries from here. Amaze balls. This is a chill bar gets packed, good drinks. But the cheese fries are cheesy spicy deliciousness. Get them and enjoy.

Stopped by for a drink on Saturday night around 9:30. Wasn’t sure what to expect given the small bar feel but it was completely packed! There was a very fun vibe and great music. The beer list had a few three floyds drafts(including zombie dust) which was a great plus! The only downside was due to the crowd there was no seats at the bar or tables left. You also had to wait a while to get the bartenders attention. Would go back a little earlier next time to get a spot at the bar, but definitely returning

Great little spot in the West Loop to stop for a drink. I’ve been here a few times and haven’t been disappointed yet. The vibe is what I’d call a trendy dive bar – no real décor, just a laid back, chill, belly-up-to-the-bar kinda place. Their beer list is on point, and the bartenders are always full of recommendations – not to mention talented mixologists! I wouldn’t say that Lone Wolf is necessarily a destination hangout, but it’s great if you’re in the area and looking for a quick drink or two!

Popped in for a drink in between reservations on NYE and this place was pretty wide open, which was actually pretty nice as we were able to easily grab a table and have a relaxed time. Pretty casual spot and they don’t have waitresses as table so you need to order at the bar. I went with the Lone Wolf old fashioned. It was a pretty good drink, but a bit on the pricier side than is typical at 15 bucks. All the other drinks had fun names as well and would be good to go back and try more. They also have a nice beer list. All in all, a nice casual option on Randolph to stop in for a drink or two of while you are waiting for your table.

The service at this place is horrendous. I went here with my husband a few weeks ago to grab a cocktail. The bartenders literally walked by us, while making eye contact, and purposefully ignored us for the first 10 minutes we were there. We were there pretty close to last call, but still… The drink was mediocre at best.

Great bar to kill some time while waiting for a table at some of the surrounding restaurants. They have several beer from Three Floyds on tap. Zombie Dust(APA) being one of my favorites. They also had Gumballhead(American wheat beer). The whiskey selection was pretty decent with a couple from the BTAC. I didn’t look at the cocktail list or the food menu so I can vouch for those. The bar wasn’t too crowded either.

Nothing that special or unique. Overpriced drinks that were neither amazing nor memorable. It wasn’t crowded, and seemed to cater to professionals and hipsters. Not sure what exactly will keep them in business for long run other than being on busy restaurant row. Service was friendly enough.

Feels like a bar. Not one of those restaurant type lounge places. Good music too. Cocktails are a bit pricy

This is a solid place to grab a drink with some friends. They always seem to have Three Floyd’s Zombie Dust on tap which is a major plus. Wine selection is decent. Both times I’ve gone, our group managed to snag a table, but it does tend to get very busy as the night goes on. We decided to try an appetizer, and chose to get a couple orders of Scotch Eggs. They are the perfect bar food treat to go along with a couple drinks. Deep-fried crispy outside, warm melty egg inside with a middle layer of rich sausage– it is decadent, and so delicious. This place will continue to be a stop on the bar scene.

Awesome ambiance. It feels like you walked straight into a bar from the 70s. Love the layout, lighting and the vibe. Great cocktails — the margarita was strong, tangy and just delicious. Great beer list. The people. Such an interesting mix… from business people, to tourists and hipsters. The only thing missing is the pool table and board games.

I came to this bar because I live 3 blocks away and my friend told me about it. The bartender with the black cap and messy hair is awful. I tried to ask for a glass of wine and he was super rude. I left a tip anyway because my life is beautiful and I feel bad that the guy is so unhappy with his life.

This place is trying to be a hip d bag bar, perhaps they may be succeeding minus the hip. There really wasn’t anything special about this bar compared to the litter of bars on Randolph. I have no idea how they’re surviving or why it was pretty full tonight. Their old fashion is mediocre, but of course compared to Maude’s Liquor down the street, how could it compete? I’ve been here before and I remember why I haven’t been back for a while. I was pretty hungry thus had their Chicago hot dog and grilled cheese sandwich. The hot dog was like a hot dog from a hot dog stand. I guess it’s suppose to be, however it’d be nice if the hot dog was warmer temperature wise. The grilled cheese sandwich tasted better than the hot dog due to the pickles and garnish that was in it. Perhaps this place just isn’t my style. For you lone wolf lovers, more power to you.

Wow, this place has gone straight downhill since they opened up. Dirty beer taps, uncleaned, with bad tasting beer. Racist door guys who don’t let certain races in. And yet, West loop people show up here because it’s the only bar around… This is a great opportunity to open up your own bar with good beer and tolerance of other races, or just don’t go here.

Lone Wolf is a great find. Came here for some drinks before dining at Blackbird. Found a couple of seats at the bar and had great service the whole time. It seems like a great place for the post work happy hour crew, but I didn’t feel too out of place even though I was dressed up. Cocktail list is great. I tried the Strawberry Sgroppino which was insanely good and I think it was meant for me. Prosecco, strawberry hibiscus sorbet, tequila. Yes. Husband got some good beers as they have a great rotating draft list. Ambiance is probably my favorite thing about Lone Wolf: huge room with a big bar in the middle and cozy booths and tables all around the edge. Service was great too. Will definitely be back.

We met up with friends here for a few drinks and had a good time. Décor: While it isn’t a HUGE place, there is plenty of room. The bar itself is HUGE(three-sided!) and there are a bunch of booths lining the walls. If you want a seat you probably have to get there pretty early, or get lucky. The crowd was pretty sizable but we were not packed in like sardines — it seemed like the doorman was doing a good job of manning just how busy it was, so that was nice. I’m not sure how I would describe the interior design… perhaps a bit hipster. But it’s a cool spot. Bathroom: I used it, but I don’t remember it. Let’s say that’s a good thing — nothing horribly memorable! Staff: Our waitress was pretty quick with the drinks and surprisingly didn’t screw anything up(despite not writing anything down). The bartenders were rather quick as well, I wasn’t left waiting for service for more than a minute or two. Food/Drinks: One or two people got food, I cannot remember what, and they said it was very good. We, however, just had drinks. I started with an Old Fashion(tasty, and came with one HUGE ice cube! Nice!) and then just a bourbon on the rocks(no huge cube… when I asked for one they wanted to charge me $ 1 for it!). Other people just had beers and wine. Value: Despite the up charge for the large ice cubes the prices are pretty decent. It’s a fun place that has a fun crowd and I’d come back for a drink on a night out.

I’ve been here several times, being that it is my «neighborhood bar». I feel torn to give this bar four stars but my wallet explicitly asked me to say three … The cocktails here are a little pricey but they do pack a punch. I have always found the bar to be very charming, I like the open space and I definitely enjoy the dark, romantic, even mysterious ambiance. I’ve had several good experiences with the wait staff, very friendly and they seem to know what’s on their menu. They have additional women’s restrooms on the basement floor which is a WIN in my book.

Lone Wolf has been in many a discussion for happy hour shenanighans in the West Loop. It’s convenient to downtown, located a stone’s throw from the best restaurants in the city and they have four dedicated taps to Three Floyd’s beer. Needless to say, my discerning beer-loving friends and I end up here often. The bar is a large one room layout with a U shaped bar right in the middle and booths along the perimeter. It’s dark, dimly lit and loud. I love it. They have a full bar and maybe a dozen taps of well selected craft beers for your drinking pleasure. There hasn’t been a visit yet when Zombie Dust was not on offering, and, not coincidentally, ordered frequently by myself and all I was with. Most pints were $ 7 although some higher abv brews are served in smaller glasses. I’m usually here to catch up with friends over a few pints and haven’t had any of the food. They’ve got English pub staples that you rarely find on this side of the pond: Scotch eggs and pies. It just makes an old expat chap feel like he’s right back in dreary old London. Now, if the top up wasn’t so frowned upon here…
