local beer meca!!! beer tastes better when it travels less farther. this place has that down! this place is chill to the max. the staff was ultra chill they promptly handed me a beer menu when i was crooning at the list on the wall(having both is ultra sweet). both menus were extremely detailed about the type of beer which is very helpful to those who you know what you want(or styles you don’t like). no one likes to ask the bartender what kind of beer is that in a high pitched voice six times til you settle on the first one you asked about… been there! but you don’t have to worry about that here, no sir no ma’am we stopped by to play pool. $ 8 bucks an hour pro-rated, a nice deal. to me, it seemed like the staff actually enjoyed working at lincoln station. they were cool with each other cool with the customers. just cool, cool, cool. next time i’m in the hood i’ll be there. –borland out–

I appreciate this bar because they host UVA Club of Chicago events and are very welcoming. They’ll have the big screens up, the volume turned up and the servers ready to roll. However, it took a long time to get my order both times I was there. One time I had to ask for a new glass that visibly had some other lady’s lipstick on it so yeah… there’s that, and another time I really wondered how a salad with grilled chicken could possibly take FOREVER to come out. Maybe they ran out of lettuce and had to run to the store? It’s a bar, not a 5 star restaurant, so manage expectations and it’ll be ok. I’ve also had the steak salad, which oddly didn’t take as long to come out as the chicken salad. The steak salad was tastier.

The worst burger in the city by far. The meat was over cooked and tasted like a cheap store bought patty :’(so bummed. Service was OK. The chicken sandwich was good but there was more bread than meat. Fries were less than, ok and it’s hard not to love any fries. May be we just choose the wrong items on the menu.

All around wasn’t worth our time. Service was ok. Food was served cold and not how we ordered. And when we sent back our spud bc it wasn’t what we ordered, they sent back the same one over cooked with new toppings. And the manager was no where to be seen. They just remade the the food that was already cooked wrong. And sent it back out to us. We couldn’t est it, but of course we were charged. Never again. And if you care about your money you wouldn’t either

This place is the best. 5 bucks make your own potatoes and free pool on Thursdays. Not to mention $ 2 hamms every single day. Super good food. Awesome vibe and friendly staff. Everything I could want in a sports bar.

Decent food and a good place to watch a game /sporting event. Can get pretty crowded though. Pretty typical Chicago bar.

Just ordered delivery from these guys. I’ve never tried them before. FANTASTIC experience! The food was hot and the delivery gentleman was as nice as can be. The Southwestern burger was clean and super fresh tasting, cooked perfectly and up there with the best burgers I’ve had lately. Sorry Rockit. You suck now. The cheese fries came with a generous amount of flavorful queso. Baked potato with broccoli and cheese was also awesome. I see no reason to have a burger delivered to me from anywhere else. Totally worth the cost and the calories. Keep it up guys!

Good drink specials, local beers, friendly staff and good(for a bar) food. The stuffed baked potatoes are where it’s at.

This place has really really good bar food. I was pleasantly surprised by this. Also, the draught list is up there as one of the more diverse lists I have seen in sometime. Bravo Lincoln Station Bravo! I sat at the bar and had a steak salad a couple of beers. The bartenders were as great as the salad. The beers were cold and kept coming. This place is a hit in my book and I know thing or three about bellying up to a bar. This place will be hanging with me in the near term…

Good place to kick it at before a show at Lincoln hall. Got a booth around 7:30 on a Friday before a 10pm show. Good drink selection. Ordered buffalo chicken sandwich and poutine. Sandwich was good but pretty basic. They forgot to give me poutine fries and when I brought this up, they made me pick up my fries, put them on a small plate, took them away, and returned with the poutine fries(but a much smaller order because I clearly enjoyed some of their delicious fries while they were away figuring out what to do). To me, standard practice is to bring out a new, fresh order of friend and apologize for messing up. They also gave my girl the wrong chicken sandwich and did the same practice without an apology.

LS does a good job with it’s pub atmosphere. Lots of beer, lots of space, a full menu, and pool and other games. I just wish they’d lower the prices a tad. There’s a lot of stiff competition in the area.

Not a bad place but there’s also nothing special about it. The food is what you’d expect from a bar and it’s better if you finish it before it gets cold. The service leaves much to be desired. The couple times I’ve been there if felt neglected and never had my drink refilled. If you don’t plan on spending a lot bring cash because they have a $ 10 minimum to use cards. It’s a Bills bar so I suppose if you’re a fan it would make everything here more worthwhile.

Fantastic bar. Outstanding staff. Always very solid deals on craft beer. Burgers and loaded potatoes are fantastic. Slider night is also a great night. One of the best hangs out there!

This bar is terrible. At 1130pm on a Saturday they closed the pool tables and dart boards down. Why? Made us stop our game. Bar was still open. They were rude. Don’t give them your money.

After desperately walking around the neighborhood before a show at Lincoln Hall, we decided on Lincoln Station, as it a) was open, b) had a fairly comprehensive menu, and c) had people in it. We ended up enjoying ourselves, it was a low-key place to crash and re-charge after a long day out and about in Chicago. The environment is relaxed/sports bar/college town, but it works in it’s own way. We scoped out the menu and ordered some wings, the grilled cheese, and one of the stuffed baked potatoes(an entire menu section devoted to them — something i’ve never seen before.) The Poutine caught my interest, and it was good — but definitely could have used the addition of some pulled pork or something meaty. The wings were decent, and the grilled cheese was exactly what we wanted — rich & creamy.

As a DePaul grad student, I don’t spend too much time just hanging around campus because I live and work elsewhere. However, when I do find myself here and in need of some place to kill time or grab a beer with classmates, Lincoln Station seems to be the place to do it. The prices are low enough, there’s specials a few days of the week, the menu is pretty big and the food is decent. I think LS is trying hard to be one of those places that does«fancy» bar food, but they have small plates and other apps for sharing which is good if you’re with a group. They accommodate large groups and always have games playing, so this could be a great place to go catch up on sports with friends. I’ll always come back here for a drink after our really late evening classes since there’s always a table and the service is quick.

This place was cool. We had a bad server so that kind of tainted it for us. I would definitely go back to give it another shot. The drinks and beer were good, the food was tasty. It is in a fun part of town that we want to explore so I would like to give it another shot.

Pretty solid pub that’s great for watching sports. They’ve got a bunch of tvs and a pretty big projector. Bartender was really friendly and fast. The Moscow mule was pretty standard and my boyfriend’s long island iced tea was nice and strong. Decent beer selection with a lot of local beers on tap. Fellow patrons’ wings smelled really good but we were too full from a meal at Homeslice to try them. Next time I’ll play a few games of pool!
