I just moved to the area and needed to find a new doctor for an IUD replacement and was so lucky to have found Dr. Blumenthal! He was very thorough with his consultation prior to the exam, made sure to ask if I wanted a female staff member present in the room during the exam and made me feel comfortable throughout the process.

I love Dr. B! His bedside manner is great and I appreciate the way he takes time to explain things thoroughly. I highly recommend him!

I really like Dr. Blumenthal. I’ve been a patient of his for 3 years now. We met in his office first and I felt like he really tried to get to know me and my concerns. I usually prefer female doctors, but I’ve never once felt uncomfortable or awkward with Dr. B. I like that he makes genuine conversation while the exam is going on — it takes your mind off of what’s actually going on down there. I’ve also had only pleasant experiences with the staff in the office, which is nice as I am generally less than thrilled to be there. The new office at 200 S. Michigan Ave is convenient and really nice inside. Overall, a good find!

I had just found out I was pregnant and needed to find an OB right away. After reading good reviews about Dr. Rubin, I tried to get an appointment, but she was too far booked and was able to get in with Dr. Blumenthal within a week. I read the reviews for him and was nervous, because they weren’t very good.
Though I have plenty of negative things to say about the unprofessional & disorganized desk staff and Nurse Pam who made me feel rushed and made a few slightly rude comments, Dr. Blumethal was really great. I had to wait a while for him to be freed up, but we met in his office and he was pretty matter of fact about the info he needed to obtain, and made sure to ask if I had any questions before I went into the exam room (which did look a little dirty and unorganized). A short wait again after I was undressed, maybe 5 minutes, until he came in. I was a little nervous, as it had been a looong time since my last gyne visit, but he was very approachable and took my mind off the uncomfortable parts of the exam by talking. He again made sure to ask if I had any questions and was thorough in explaining what to expect from future visits and how often I would need to come in. I’d never had a male gyne Dr. before, but was very comfortable with him.
