This place is active late into the night. A friend of mine and I came in a little after 10pm and left an hour later and new customers were still coming in. Very tasty food. Unfortunately didn’t get anything to drink, but a neighboring table got big glasses of margaritas so I will definitely go back for that. Very friendly waitstaff and there’s also live music. That could be just for Friday nights though, not totally sure.

Have been coming here for a while as a late night place. Decided to drop in during the week for a marg and burrito. Ordered a small marg and got an glass that looked like it was made for kids. Seriously.8 fluid ounces wtf! Less dissappointing when ur drunk. Burrito was ok btw.

Haven’t had anything that blew my mind, but what I’ve had here has been solid. Stopping by on my way home and ordering something to go doesn’t take too long either. Everyone has different tastes though.

I had a previously good experience with Lazo’s, as I am not a fan of Arturo’s. However, this time when I went it was just unacceptable. The vegetarian tacos had crunchy rice in them, the tomatoes were hard to bite into, the onions were not chopped well, and the cilantro was overpowering. I don’t know what happened between now and two months ago, but it isn’t good!

Really disappointing. Poor service and food that seemed to have been prepared days in advance. For example, ordered the posole. Radishes were limp, cabbage certainly did not seem fresh. NO real hot sauces. Even asked for green and still no flavor. The one bright spot was the tamale, was good. Rest was not worth going back to visit at all… so bummed.

Terrible service. Didn’t even seat us. Piña colada was disgusting. Ordered tacos and it was cold. Beans straight out the can. I can’t even go on.

Horchata was watery, services was friendly but we literally saw the waitress twice — once when we ordered and once when we got the food, we had to practically beg another waitress to bring our check, food came out fast but looked like it was reheated and old, taco meat was cold. Chips and salsa were good though. Setting was outdated looked looked like it was catered to an older crowd.

A really big taco place restaurant on western avenue. However it fails to deliver as the Cuban sandwich was not tasty at all and the beef meat tough. The chips seemed third quality level worse than what you would get at the corner liquor store. They only had two waitresses working this late night I went and this place is fortunely 24 hours. There were many drunks that walked in here as well so perhaps breakfast time is better to visit this place. This is not great place and I wonder how they have been in business as long as this place has.

I remember coming here for random visits, birthday celebration, drunk night outs. The place was good. That only lasted about three years. the more I went, the more crappy it was. I don’t understand how so many people go here. During the day it’s pretty slow and the service is bad. come at night and its worse. I always see the same three waitresses talking next to the host desk. They don’t even work hard and the expect good tips. If you only take my order, take my finish plate while dropping the check off how do you expect a good tip? Nah. The food is not good either. just terrible. I went last night and that was probably the last time I would go. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. P.S You can’t split bills on the weekends. that’s the dumbest rule.

this place is my guilty pleasure. they’re open 24 hr and always hit the spot when you want that late night(or mid day. or morning. or all day) mexican fix. my faves: — lengua/steak burritos: i loveeeeeeee the burritos here!!! they are NOT stingy with the meat, which is tender and well seasoned, and have no rice in them!(which is great imo, leaves mo room for eating) — tortas: same concept as the burritos, just pick your carb preference. just as good! — menudo: lots of flavor and huge. again, not stingy on the tripe overall, they’re priced very affordably and have great portion sizes!

My late night go to spot. Everything is pretty good on their menu. My fav are the tacos. I’m pretty simple but I’ve tried the dinner plates and a couple of their sandwiches. #GoodEats

Since I live nearby, this place has become our go-to for a quick dinner for a couple reasons: food is pretty good, decent prices and a parking lot. My fiancé orders anything with chorizo in it, as he says it’s cooked perfectly. I love their carnitas tacos. Additionally, I have been there twice when a fire broke out, so there is the excitement factor too. However, the service is rather slow(except when they are literally putting out fires), so I recommend carry out.

Cheap and the staff was fast and incredibly nice. I will definitely go back when I am in town.

great late night spot! i’ve only had a limited selection but the place is quick, conveniently open 24⁄7 with a parking lot, and cheap prices. the food hits the spot too. Food: — Torta Lengua — MMMMMMMMMMMM! When you receive the order, it’ll look limp and sad but after your first bite you’ll realize it’s super tender and juicy. — Tacos — they’re pretty filling and cheap. — menudo — huge and tasty. lots of tripe chunks. really oily though. — ice cream shakes — thick, creamy, and delicious. — Flan — SKIP. It tasted kind of gelatinous

Great as a decent late-night option with a nice interior, but the food and service is very hit-or-miss. Enter Lazo’s. An ideal spot for a bite with friends, post mid-week clubbing, or otherwise late night. It’s gota nicer interior. Half of the restaurant is very taco-joint, grab-n-go with a counter. The other side provides a comfortable sit-down, with open-brick interior, and well kept tables and cool ambience. Very comfy-casual, without feeling stuffy or hoity toity. There’s a stage where I’m sure live bands play over the weekend. We dined in at 3am, and there were a few other tables seated as well. However, with two waitresses, ours never came around, was very dismissive, and nonchalant. The other waitress jumped to attention once a cop came in.(I’m sure the cop was a usual, but they flew to get his order out ready, as where we weren’t even given tableware on seating.) Our waitress was slow to take our order, to refill our chips(we were starving), and even forgot one item on my order. I had one taco with carnitas. One with carne asada. And one tamale. She completely forgot the tamale, and was unapologetic, like I hadn’t ordered along with my other food, the first time around. Please note. It helps if you can speak Spanish, and I’d really advise that you do. I speak a decent amount. Ordered in spanish, and i KNOW what i ordered. so it was pretty unforgivable that she just missed an item, much less was so blasé about adding it on later. Here’s another gripe. Some meat choices for the tacos come with lettuce and tomato, as where others come with cilantro and onion. I don’t mind the authentic versus american way, but the menu doesn’t clue you in on this. Other thing i didn’t like — the Carnitas wasn’t a pulled pork. It was more fried pork chop. WEIRD. And one of my friends also had food poisoning(for 2 days) from his suizo burrito. *shrug* the flavor wasn’t bad… but there’s too many things that make me think twice about this spot. I used to come here pretty often when I was younger, and now I’m much more inclined to look elsewhere. Big Star, you’ve got my preference.

Ok, I’m not one for 1 star reviews but I have never had such horrible customer service from a restaurant. They get 1st because the food was good. I ordered on grub hub 2 Taco dinners. So two orders of tacos(3) and rice and beans on the side for 10.95 each. In pictures you see that it said served with rice and beans. Well, when the food showed up all that was in the bag was 6 tacos. No rice and beans. So I call the restaurant to notify them and they told me I was wrong, I only ordered tacos. I tell them, no I ordered two taco dinners. I am looking at my receipt right now. They continue to argue that my food did not come with rice and beans. I try to explain, yes on grub hub it says that’s what it is served with. And why would I pay 10.95 for 3 tacos?! This is obviously a taco dinner! He says that it is grub hubs fault not there’s. Then I take the paper menu that they attached to my bag, and continue to say, I am looking at your menu right now. The one you sent over. It says orden de taco, or order of tacos, 10.95 served with rice and beans. He finally says fine, he will send them over and hangs up. Maybe 30 minutes later(this place is pretty close) we get a pretty large serving of rice and beans. Well, like I said, I like the food here, but the manager was very rude, placing blame everywhere but on themselves, didn’t even apologize, and hung up on me. I would never treat a person this way, let alone someone who’s paying for your service! Rude. I took some pics too!

After passing this 100 times over the last decade we finally decided to try it out on the way to Constellation. The food was relatively cheap and representative of the standard Mexican cuisine that is down-home but nothing fancy. As long as your expectations are no higher this will fill you well and suit you fine. It’s pretty big inside and has an old feel to it, nothing new or fance. Unfortunately the service was in the lower tier: slow, unenthusiastic, and at the end we had to chase down the bill since we had to leave, I handed a tip directly to them without any return of emotion. I think I will skip this next time and pick somewhere more upbeat,.

Came here after work for carryout. This place is pretty big, I was surprised. I got alot of different tacos and a carne asada torta to be safe. Everything was just marginally eatable :(there was such lack of flavor in the tacos itself I had to drown them all with hot sauce. I can’t even talk about whatever meat is used in these things. I understand this is not somewhere I’m going to get high end tacos but at this price range and area there are a lot better options, ex las asadas couple doors down. This is clearly a drunk spot people go to chill cuz it’s big. I would rather go to taco burrito king to say the least!

Have you ever had one of those meals that just felt right? Of course you have. And I had one recently at Lazos. Got out of a great performance late and was starving. Someone suggested Lazos. It’s a huge place. Complete with a server and everything. I had just an all around great experience. We had a large group of about 10, a live band blaring Spanish music, random people up dancing, great chips and salsa, and delicious tacos with some of the fattiest, juiciest, most tender meat around. It’s one of those restaurants that will be what you make it. I returned a few months later and got a burrito to go. I was pretty disappointed in general with the burrito. Which is why I know now, you can find great food anywhere, but the whole experience is what makes a dining experience great.

I went here last night after a concert and there was no wait. The restaurant had the feel of a neighborhood joint. I ordered the combination platter which came with a quesadilla, taco, tamale, and rice and beans. Everything was just okay. I’m use to tacos bursting with flavor(I’m spoiled that way… lol), but didn’t really get that. Also the Tamale tasted dry and sort of hard. The service was nice and this place is open 24 hours. If I was in the area and needed a place to grab some food I might hit this place up again.
