Dude with the review before me… I dont know what you’re talking about! «his brand of professionalism is ok with the locals, either that or no one is saying anything.» How are you going to try to be a snob when YOU are trying to do business in the same neighborhood? I have had SEVERAL complaints against him with the BBB! You need to do your damn homework! I live in Texas and have for 3 years… Anyways…Back to Unilocal: My Family and I did business with this guy(at different times) for over a decade… He lost the business September 3, 2014… as a result of his unscrupulous, shady, unintelligent business demeanor to The City Of Chicago! He reaped what he sowed! GOODRIDDANCE Lawrence Super-Truck & Rental!

Unclean, unkempt, unprofessional, and a bunch of other words that begin with the sound I walked out the door making… UNNNN! Oh but wait back it up… hup…easy back it up… I have to admit I walked into Lawrence’s with the worst expectations, figuring I wasn’t gonna use this place to store my things anyway based on its appearance. This storage facility is so close to my new place, I felt I had to at least see. I guess if I were in a bind and had absolutely nowhere to put my stuff –or someone held a gun to my head– I’d leave it at Lawrence’s. The lobby looks like a tornado blew through an abandoned pawn shop. A TV in the background was the only sign of life. After about 2 minutes of standing all by my lonely, Mr. Lawrence emerges — chewing a mouth full of food, spewing an unapologetic greeting. Just as quickly, he vanished. And there I was: not a question answered, and all by myself… again. Another couple minutes goes by, and the owner re-emerges with a napkin tucked into the neck of his Bill Cosby. Five minutes in, and the lone customer finally gets to ask about prices and sizes. Questioning the integrity and security of any one storage unit in the place, I asked if I could see one. After being visibly taken aback by such an «odd» request, I was reminded with a smirk that he just told me what the sizes were. I insisted on a visual. In a lame effort for sympathy, he retorted that the units were«way in the back.» With one foot out the door, I asked«so you won’t show me?» A limp head shrug sent me on my way; pondering philosophically about the seven minutes of my life I’ll never see again. My only guess is that he is still in business because his brand of professionalism is ok with the locals, either that or no one is saying anything.
