Krispy Kreme Doughnuts

I don’t understand how anyone can give Krispy Kreme a bad review… It’s a freaking doughnut! A damn good doughnut!

Admittedly I’ve never been to this location, but I figure you’ve been to one KK you’ve been to them all. The one on South Harlem had Ms. Betty back around 2001. She made the trek worth it. Not only was I able to try a Krispy Kreme glazed donut sans glaze, I was able top attempt to drink a cup of glaze.
I used to be all about KK, but then I decided that Dunkin’ Donuts had better variety. KK does not have marble or maple glazed or chocolate crème filled donuts. Plus KK coffee just isn’t as good as Dunkin Donuts.
Now I’m about 40 pounds lighter so I don’t really go after donuts like I used to. I’ve discovered that Dominick’s Vanilla glazed donuts kick ass and are only 50 cents as opposed to almost a dollar at either DD or KK.
Dominick’s for the win.
However I will never turn down a free KK or DD donut.

What’s with the cult following? It’s a f’ing glazed donut! I’m with Dunkin Donuts, all the way…

Krispy Kreme donuts are sweetness!

When these shops first opened up in Chicago, such a big deal was made, but refrained from the indulgence. I mean they are good, but how many can I really eat? I had to go to this particular location before work, to pick up 50 dozen donuts and about 15 boxes of coffee. (Company appreciation day– I wasn’t really that hungry.) The order was supposedly called in the day before, and was scheduled for pick up at 8pm. Guess what– I went in only to discover that the order was not there. I am not going to place blame here, because it could have been on our end. But the girl behind the counter was really polite and cool about the whole thing. They did get my 600 donut order out within 20 minutes, which I appreciated. They even helped me carry it out to the van. I finally got it all to work, set it up, and then had one. They still were warm, but just way too sweet for me. The coffee, was bitter, and way too strong. But all in all, I highly am impressed from the service I received, which gives this an A+ in my book!

I think the little donut holes are the best. I can eat loads of them. My son also loves them. It’s a great way to keep him quiet on a long drive.

Who doesn’t like Krispy Kremes! They are soo good! :) They tend to be extremely fattening though! I would only eat them on a special occasion. They are the freshest and softest doughnuts around-​better than Dunkin!

If you’re driving by and you see the red sign lit, stop in and you’ll get a free doughnut. And it will be warm and super fresh too! After that, you’ll probably be tempted to buy a dozen or so for later tooo ;).
