This little gem is a little out of my way but I would stop by whenever I’m in the area. Great tasting and always fresh prepared foods, good selection of European beer and decent choice of produce. Love the cakes and fresh bread, too. Well worth trying if you like Polish food.

If you’re the kind of person who loves Polish delis for what they offer, ignore this review. We recently moved in the neighborhood and I had walked past this place a few times without knowing exactly what they had to offer. If fact, I didn’t even know it was a Polish deli until I walked in. The first sign is the smell, it smells like every other Polish deli. As soon as you walk in you are at a wall of Polish juices. I was especially curious about their produce section since I am a big produce fan, and for the size of the store, the produce section wasn’t too bad. They carry the typical common fruits and vegetables, and it all looked fairly fresh. The prices weren’t bad. I was disappointed that they didn’t carry more in the way of produce, but again, for the overall size of the place, not bad. Aside from the produce, there really wasn’t anything at all I was interested in. i don’t drink Polish liquor, I don’t like Polish food and therefore don’t like the smell of Polish delis. There were some Polish girls working there who were kind of ditsy. I bought some lettuce and strawberries and the girl at the register had some trouble with my debit card. She transformed the simple procedure of swiping a card into a battle. She totally ignored me when I offered my advice. When the transaction was complete, I smiled and said thank you to her, and she was just staring into space the other way across the store like someone had just asked her to recite the Preamble to the Constitution. Kinda creepy. Anyway, yeah, I might stop here for emergency vegetables, but likely, that won’t ever happen.

This store is great. They carry a huge juice collection, a fresh lunch meat and cheese deli, and they offer ready to eat food at great prices. Their chicken breast with cheese and chives is amazing. Their Krokiety are soooo good and their dumplings to die for. I most of all love how inexpensive everything is. They also offer basic items like sugar, flour, pasta, soda, breads, alcohol and they have a produce section. They also offer some raw meats, but not a huge selection. This place is great for a quick trip to pick up a few items.

This produce store/deli features American and Polish cuisine. They are stocked with fresh fruits & vegetables sold at great prices. This little grocery store packs a solid punch. Excellent walk in collers filled with beer on one side and dairy items on the other make this stop a must while in Jefferson Park
