Very chic and professional salon! Kimberly is extremely knowledgeable in healthy hair and specializes in hair care opposed to hair styles. I will certainly be returning! I was in and out of the salon within two hours. Kimberly did not trim more hair than was necessary and she even gave me some helpful advice for my date! ;)

Professional salon located in the Bronzeville area. I enjoy coming here because I am not sitting in the salon for hours waiting to be serviced! Kim Coleman and staff are very professionl. I also get my pedicure and waxings done here as well. It’s a one stop shop! Very clean and stylish salon. Always love my hair and services when I visit.

I am so glad I found Nan again! I have natural hair and Nan always makes my hair look great and I get lots of compliments. I can also see the difference in my hair, my hair is much healthier. Nan is friendly and professional. You are not held hostage all day on a Saturday either! The salon is decorated nicely. The receptionist (I think her name is Gina) is very friendly. I would definately recommend Nan. I feel comfortable when I get in her chair that I will leave very satisfied.

She not only gives you a great finished look, but she makes sure you have healthy hair. When you walk into KCS, your senses are transformed. The soothing colors, the ambiance, the friendly and welcoming receptionist, the smiles from other customers and any member of the signature staff makes this an experience you won’t forget! For the best mani pedi in the city you must see Kim (the nail tech) You start with a hot, sudsy soak progress to a gentle pedicure/​trimming/​sloughing, float to a parafin wax for hydration and end with the hottest colors available. Kim is a joy to know, punctual and always has my water waiting for me. Talk about service!

She is so very professional, precise, friendly without being chatty or catty and fast. Did I mention that she is fast? She totally respects your time. I was out the door in 2 hours for a cut/​style with 4 people ahead of me. Love it! A lot coming from me: a former stylist who is extremely picky about who I allow to touch my hair.
Seriously, this is a beautiful salon with friendly staff, wonderful products and a clean, zero drama atmosphere. Go soon!

I followed my stylist, JoJo, to this salon and I love it! The salon is in the South Loop Hotel — so there’s free parking and its not far from my West loop home.
My stylist JOJO is AMAZING! Truly the best hair stylist I’ve ever been to! She’s one of the nicest people I know, she is professional, punctual, and most importantly — she actually cares about my hair! Since I’ve been with her (since I left Toss hair salon), my hair has grown longer than it has ever been (as an adult). Once, I asked her to color my hair and she honestly and frankly told me that I shouldn’t do it — my hair wasn’t strong enough to handle the damage of color at that time. My old stylists would have just colored away regardless of the damage to my hair. JoJo is the best! A selfish part of me wanted to keep her genius as secret as possible, but it wouldn’t be fair to deprive others of the ability to leave the salon feeling absolutely beautiful.
The salon also has a great aesthetician — Shaddah — I’ve been to her for a facial and a few times for waxing. She is very good, takes her time to make sure the job is right, and she is very professional.
Also, the salon sets out products, jewelry, head wear, and purses for sale. These pieces are nice and pretty reasonably priced. I find myself buying something each time I go.
The prices vary for the stylist. Some might think that JoJo is kind of pricey, but her rates are comparable to many other stylists in the downtown area, and (unlike the several other stylists I’ve been to) JoJo’s is worth every penny! Shaddah’s prices are comparable to other day spas in the city, but a bit cheaper than the ones downtown.
All in all, great salon!

LOVE Nan! She’s works with Natural and Relaxed Hair and if you’ve ever dreamed of going Perm-​less, She works it out! I haven’t had a perm in years thanks to Nan! … the Salon is very nice (I had photos from Flickr but my assumption says that the publisher must have taken them down) and I’d follow her anywhere, the prices are reasonable and she gets you in an out in an extremely short amount of time. You are not sitting there for hours. She’s uses great products and her styles are TIMELESS! She’s extremely great about giving you styles that actually fit your face and hair type. The Ambiance is nice/​quiet and Serene. Love this part. But the best is how fast she can get you in and out of the Salon looking and feeling great! They do offer Pedi’s and Mani’s so lets say full service Salon here. Great place
I forgot to add. Nan also works on Sunday. How fabulous is that ?? you can get your Tresses done from Early AM until Noon. This is a Plus for those of us who can’t make it during the week or have other plans during Fridays and Saturdays.

I absolutely ADORE Kim!
My hair is an odd mix of curly/​wavy/​straight and she’s managed to tame it all without chemicals. Since growing my hair longer, it’s been hard to find THE stylist for me. I actually stalked one of her clients in Target who happened to have amazing hair and finally got the info I needed. I booked my appointment online and was there the next day. I’m hooked.
The salon’s new locale is in the South Loop Hotel (first floor, rear of building) and the space is heavenly. I love a salon that’s welcoming and Kim’s salon offers up no pretentions.
Everyone on her staff is amazing, as well.
