Really a great store with a lot of incredibly helpful staff.

Kesher Stam is a bookstore packed with just about anything you would need in Judaica. Books, havdallah candles, mezuzot, schtenders, music, ETC. I never thought to give them a review until now. I’ve been there dozens of times for all the items above and then some. During Succos they have a special section they open up just to sell different size Succos and decorations.
This place is the place to go for Judaica in West Roger’s Park. They have most things you can think of and can order what they don’t have in stock. For such a small place there is an unbelievable selection of items. During peak hours this place can get quite crowded but there is always someone around you can ask for help. This place is definitely my first stop for any Jewish items I need.

Went to this little religious store in West Rogers Park on a referral from a friend when I moved into the neighbourhood and was looking for a new Mezuzah. I, being a trouser-​wearing artsy type of woman, was treated with the utmost courtesy and shown a wide variety of Mezuzot, some that had not been unpacked from a shipment from Israel, nor put onto the shelves yet. They gave me the time alone to decide and re-​decide. I also took a break and perused their small, but very solid book selection.
Great Mezuzot selection aside, I wound up purchasing three different styles, with Kosher scrolls that were created in-​house by their sofer (scribe) and carefully encased for me on the spot, mostly because of the knowledge, manners and good conversation. The prices were appropriate too.
I highly recommend this jewel of a small business. I am sad to say that I have never had an experience even closely akin to this one at the more well-​established, and packed with more objects, competition a few blocks to the south of Kesher StaM.
