Thank you for being the only Pinoy store in Albany park. Its nice to known you’re only blocks away if I ever need a sinigang packet.

I was happy to find this small Filipino grocery store on Lawrence while walking home from the Brown Line. The store is organized and well stocked on basic Filipino staples. Items you’ll find here are: –Dried noodles(bihon, sotanghon, canton, luglug, misua, etc.) –Rice(duh) –Jarred sauces(Jufran, lechon sauce, alamang, bagoong, patis, etc.) –Frozen goods(lumpia, siopao, suman, longaniza, banana leaves, etc.) –Jarred sweets(ube, macapuno, langka, coco jam, nata de coco, etc.) –Snacks(shrimp chips, Boy Bawang, otap, barquillos, sampalok, etc.) –Canned goods(coconut milk, Ligo sardines, corned beef, Spam, etc.) –Dried mixes(bibinka, puto, Mama Sita’s mixes, instant soups, etc.) –Drinks(coconut water, calamansi juice, tamarind juice, nectars, etc.) and more… For a small store, they have a good variety of staples to choose from. I will definitely be back to purchase goods so that I can hone my Filipino cooking skills! 4⁄21: I noticed that they carry bottled Taba ng Talangka in the cooler, which is crab roe paste. OMG!

This tiny Pinoy(Filipino) grocery store has a decent selection of packaged food, big bags of rice, some frozen items, and a few fresh items. Usually they have freshly-made ready to eat food such as lumpia for sale as well. Proprietors are very friendly.
