Having had mediocre personal training experiences in the past, I was hesitant to begin the search for a new trainer when I figured that I could just teach myself what I needed to do. Yeah, not such a good idea. After joining FFC just over one year ago I began to notice how friendly the staff and trainers were, especially Katie. I took her ABS class one time and knew that she was the trainer for me. Katie understands what hurdles we face and works with you to give you the tools to overcome those hurdles. Designing a custom work out that allows for flexibility and diversity is one thing that Katie shines at. Initially, I anticipated meeting with her for one session and being good to go. 5 sessions later she is teaching me new exercises and pushing me to reach my optimal capacity. I am seeing results that I have never saw before!

Katie has been my trainer at FFC for the better part of 5 months. I’m a fairly big guy(6’2″, 215 lbs.), but she continues to come up with new ways to kick my butt that I never would have come up with myself. In addition to weight training and what I guess you could refer to as «traditional» exercises, Katie will also come up with 1 or 2 new things I’ve never heard of each session, to keep me on my toes and pushing my comfort zone. She’s also great in setting you up with a fitness plan to stick with between sessions, so each personal training session feels like it builds off of the one before it. I was nervous about starting personal training because I have a history of lower back problems, but Katie built a plan around it, and I haven’t run into any problems. I won’t get into specific metrics, but I can say I’m measurably stronger and faster than I was when I first started with Katie, and I just ran my fastest 5k since I graduated from college. She’s energetic, friendly, positive, and has really helped me get results– that’s just about all I can ask for from a personal trainer.
