Juana Shin

Juana Shin is simply the best. I initially set out to find someone to prep my skin for my upcoming wedding. Northwestern Plastic Surgery and Aesthetics Center has a fantastic reputation and their doctors recommended me to Juana. It was evident at the first consultation that Juana is very passionate about her profession and treats each individual patient with upmost care. Juana prepared a new at home skin regimen for me, recommended excellent products (which I still use today) and created a treatment plan to help me look flawless on my wedding day. Treatment included facials, microdermabrasion, peals, and laser hair removal which she expertly performed. I was very pleased with the results — my skin drastically improved and I felt beautiful on my wedding day. Juana went over and beyond for me. She has a positive disposition and I always leave my appointments with her feeling lighthearted and optimistic. I not only feel like I found the best aesthetician but a fast friend as well. I have recommended Juana to all my friends and colleagues and I will absolutely continue to see her regularly.

Simply the best. I am not one to write reviews but after this facial I had to spread the word! Juana has such an amazing personality and is just an uplifting presence (like previous reviewers have noted). I am 26 and have suffered from moderate acne for most my life. I have seen numerous dermatologists and tried a variety of acne medications but nothing has worked. I have sensitive combination skin so I’m always hesitant to try new things on my face. I decided to give Juana a try after reading some of her reviews and hearing about her facials from some friends. The facial felt great and the results exceeded every expectation I had. My skin looked and felt rejuvenated right away. She also recommended a skin care regimen and gave me a great moisturizer that has worked wonders on my sensitive skin. It has been a few weeks now since the facial and using the skin care products Juana recommended and I am extremely happy with the way my skin looks. I have only had one facial so far but with results like these I can guarantee that I’ll be back for many more. I’ve already booked my next facial :).

Juana is a facial goddess. I no longer allow anyone else near mine. Her expertise and skill are reflective in the results. Her product recs are spot-​on and she ‘gets’ that $ need be respected and all the damage that we’ve done can’t be fixed in one visit. In fact, my skin continues to look better over time. Her work goes way beyond maintenance. Her methods are thoughtfully implemented and she tweaks as needed to make incremental improvements.

I went to Juana for the first time yesterday. I was tired of the spa facials that feel quite pleasant, but actually do little to change the quality of my skin. I wanted a facial that would work to improve my skin problems: mature skin, sun damage, fine wrinkles and lines, tired and stressed skin.
Juana spent several minutes listening to what I thought were my problem areas and my expectations. She then suggested a medical facial. I immediately trusted Jauna and gave her permission to do «whatever she thought I needed». During the medical facial she asked permission to do a mini peel. I agreed.
A medical facial is far more in depth and intense than a spa facial. I was never in pain but I could feel the materials she applied in a tingling sort of way. The mini peel was a little more intense, but still I never felt uncomfortable. During the procedure Juana explained to me what she was doing and why. At the end Juana wanted me to keep the product on my face with instructions not to wash me face until this morning.
Leaving her office I felt uplifted and felt that this facial is the best facial I ever had. Plus I felt that I had an Esthetician that was actually addressing my skin problems.
Today I washed my face. Wow! My skin looks amazing, The skin was extremely clean, fine lines and age spots were reduced, and my skin is absolutely glowing. I look several years younger with just the one visit. I keep looking in the mirror in awe of what Juana accomplished with just one visit.
The medical facial and mini-​peel cost $ 200 which I thought was quite reasonable for what I received. Juana does not accept tips
Juana is knowledgeable, highly skilled, upbeat, and very friendly. She never pressured me to buy products. She also freely shared her knowledge with me.
I made another appointment for the last of February. I am so excited by the results I see in my skin after just one visit that I can hardly wait for my next visit.
Juana also does permanent cosmetics. I want her to dye my eye lashes so I no longer have to wear mascara.
I absolutely recommend Juana Shin. The results are amazing.
