My kiddos and I love getting food delivered from here. It’s sooooooo fast and relatively inexpensive.

I like Jimmy johns subs, so this is not about the food but about the service at this location. I had ordered three platters for a 5:45 pickup. I got there at that time and not only did they not have the order ready, they did not have any bread in stock! What kind of Jimmy Johns does not have any fresh bread in stock??? Anyway, they said a manager was running to the closest jimmy johns to borrow their bread while they had a batch baking in the oven. I ended up having to wait 30 mins and had a group of hungry people waiting. Will not order any platters from this place again.

When I asked why this location refuses to deliver to fire stations, police stations and the jail where this location is the closest I got this response via email. «Jimmy John’s was built around fast delivery. Our delivery areas are based on a 3 – 5 minute drive time during the busiest parts of the day, not mileage. If the store near you won’t deliver to you, you are out of our designated delivery area. This is not a personal thing, it’s a strategic decision. We have a very disciplined strategy with delivery and have found this to be successful in the past. Going out of our area makes those in the area get delayed. I apologize. Hopefully you will still consider Jimmy John’s in the future. Thanks, Brian» So apparently Jimmy John’s doesn’t care about the public servants who lay their lives on the line every day to keep you all safe. So remember every time you see a Jimmy John’s that they refuse to bring a sandwich to someone that doesn’t always have time to cook or pickup food cause they are out there fighting crime or saving a life. BOYCOTTJIMMYJOHN’S PLEASE.

I love jimmy johns. And you take it for face value. A sandwich place that delivers. My boyfriend and I placed an order for two sandwiches and JJ is only 5 blocks from our place. After 30 minutes pass and we call and they said our sandwiches were on the way.(30 mins for a Sunday at 11!?!) Finally an hour passed and still no sandwiches. We called them again only to find out the guy who took down our order wrote down our number wrong so the delivery guy never was able to get a hold of us. This was the worse service I have ever gotten from any jimmy johns. Will not be ordering from this location again.

I’m not sure what they used to order, but I definitely will prefer this place over Subway that is right down the block! I got speedy service when I ordered my tuna sandwich. It was delicious and I had a huge quantity of tuna in it. Of course, it includes the typical shredded lettuce. Do give it a try for a quick meal. In addition to the speedy service, this place is all smiles from every employee X)

They deliver the sandwiches so fast. Go-to lunch place on UIC’s campus.

I will say this, I am SONOT a bread person. I was skeptical about spending money on a sandwich, but of course I broke down and came in with a friend. I ordered the #13 which is vegetarian fully loaded and wow. I was actually amazed that I could eat a vegetarian sandwich and not mind that there is no meat. I think that the avocado slathered on it was the deciding factor. Although again, I am not a bread person in the least, it turned out that their bread is really good. And quite fresh. I wish I would of course asked for the wheat bread, but this was a nice change. I kept talking about the bread and my friend was like«I told you». I believe that they make their own bread there, but I am not sure. I also like the fact that it is not far from my job and that it has its own little dining area. You get the soda fountain in the dining area so of course, you can just come up for seconds. I am not a soda person so I can totally appreciate that they also have water there. Now parking can be a trick. Since it is a congested area in Little Italy, but of course, you can eventually find something. Or walk there if you can, but do be advised that parking is not free in Chicago, remember our Mayor sold out and we must pay!

First thing, they stopped serving alfalfa sprouts! I may as well go to Subway for a bigger sandwich at a cheaper price! Without updating their menu, I ordered a veggie sandwich online and requested additions of dijon mustard and onions and easy mayo. When I received it:(1) there was no dijon mustard;(2) there was BARELY any avocado spread;(3) there was a ton of mayo;(4) THEYFAILEDTOMENTIONTHEYNOLONGERHAVESPROUTS! Overall, they couldn’t offer a refund and I was too hungry to wait for another delivery. Needless to say, I will never order from Jimmy John’s ever again. I used to cater a lot of company meetings using Jimmy John’s, but alas I think I’ll stick with Potbelly catering from now on.

A review so fast you’ll freak: Great sandwich along Taylor Street. All options are good, especially the Italian option(get the hot peppers). Watch the high schoolers around lunch time and right after school, though, as this is a clear favorite.

I like this Jimmy Johns, staff make the sandwiches before you even finish paying! They are super fast and very friendly. Sandwiches are always good, ingredients fresh. The place itself is pretty small, yet I’ve never had a problem getting a seat whenever I’m in there… the problem is finding parking! YIKES! Definitely walk there if you can! I’ve ordered catering from here in the past, also had no problems — great service, good food!

Meh. Its Jimmy John’s. The great thing about chains is that food quality is pretty standard.

I work nearby and we order online from this location often. I have also been to this location in person a couple of times too. Online ordering from here is easy to understand and totally organized. Our sandwiches always arrive in a timely fashion and sandwiches are always labeled with the purchaser’s name. It makes it easy to distribute in a work setting. The bread is fresh and the free toppings include: onion, lettuce, alfalfa sprouts, tomato, mayo, sliced cucumber, Dijon mustard, oil & vinegar, and oregano. The food is made fresh and always tastes fresh from this location, but then again, it is a sandwich… you can’t mess it up too bad.

Just a few days ago I said I was so impressed but then I made an order because its just too cold to go and do a pick up. I was hoping for one of those fast Jimmy John’s deliveries because I was hungry. Last time they came honestly in 5 minutes. It’s a Tuesday night so maybe they got busy but it took them 45 minutes!!! Thats just kind of ridiculous. I’m sure I’ll go to the store again but I doubt I will get delivery and if I do I sure hope they make up for this experience.

Love this Jimmy John’s. Every time I go, customer service is friendly and polite. They never give me looks when I give them insanely complicated sandwich order. They’re always smiling and always say«thanks.» Since I work nearby, I’m always ordering 1 sandwich when weather is too bad to go outside and they’re always so kind even for 1 sandwich. I make sure to always tip well and smile back.

I only can base this review on delivery service alone. It took a total of 35 minutes around lunch time(about 12ish) from the time I placed my order to delivery. I really ilked that the driver called me to let me know how far away he was from my location. That made for awesome timing because I was busy finishing up a school project! Normal JJ food, nothing out of the ordinary, but four stars for the considerate driver!

If you’re in this neighborhood with literally dozens of locally owned food choices why are you going into a chain?

Please, if I wanted a mayonnaise sandwich with a small spattering of meat on stale crusty bread I could just make it myself. In fact, I will go do that, right now. For those who may be interested, you can purchase ‘day old’ bread for some reason or another, and oddly enough it tastes exactly like their ‘fresh’ bread.

I don’t understand the proliferation of these places. The 7 grain bread is alright, but in the end they are merely the bookends to a cold and expensive sandwich that I could make at home. I would probably be a lot happier with the outcome too. I’ve eaten here when in a hurry, but now that I have taken the time to actually contemplate what I’m paying for, it’s Jimmy John’s no more.

In general, I really like Jimmy John’s and this location is no exception. I don’t have experience with JJ delivery(except in college, but that’s a story for another time — ISU grads will understand). I like it because I can walk there, someone always greets me when I walk in(even if they’re really busy), and the service is always extremely fast. My only two complaints are: First, I really don’t like the JJ branded potato chips, as they’re MUCH too greasy, but I just get other chips instead — problem solved. Second, they don’t have much seating and are slow to clean the tables that they do have. Oh, and is just me or has JJ increased their prices across the board a few times in the last couple years? It used to be a really cheap lunch, now it seems like it’s in line with Subway or any local deli.
