WARNING! When you order a cake from here PLEASE look over your order form and make sure they have everything right! I ordered my baby’s baptism cake from them last weekend and OMG! I got a completely different cake from what I placed.
What I ordered: 2 tier square cake white all around with baby pink dots and bows with large bow on top tier. Marbled cake with strawberry and peach filling. My baby’s name on side of bottom tier in baby pink
What I got; 2 tier round cake with HOT PINK dots and bows and NO bow on top tier with basically all chocolate cake and one layer of vanilla. Oh and let’s not forget the two thumb dents on each side of the cake when it was given to me. With name sitting in some plastic thing on top of the cake which you couldn’t even read!
When I informed the girl working that my order was all wrong, she called the owner and all he could do was offer an apology and ask if I still wanted the cake. Duh I do! It was the day of and I had no other option. All he could do was offer me $ 20 refund on a $ 100 cake! Ridiculous!
So everyone pleas be careful when you place special orders from here and review your order form multiple times, I put my trust in them for my baby’s special day and was completely screwed over

The only thing I buy here is the tres leches cake for all my families birthday parties. I always get compliments and I always tell everyone this is the place to come for tres leches!!!

Well not a fan of pan dulce, but when you want to have a hot cup of chocolate abuelita and pan dulce it hits the spot. The reason for the 4 stars is because I was tempted to buy a tres leches slice, wasn’t the best.

I go there for their bolillos with cream cheese & jalapenos. They also make really cheap poundcakes which I take to work on occasion. Expect to spend while there because eventhough it’s small there, you want to try each item!

This bakery sells great birthday cakes… try the strawberry and pineapple filled yellow cakes… so good and always fresh! Prices are unbelievable.

Hit this place as I waited for my food from El Felinez #3 next door. I was immediately over taken by the wonderful aroma of fresh baked bread. And oh how I am a sucker for carbs.
So I grabbed a silver tray and proceed to figure what I could purchase.
Most of the pastries are sweet ~ and I more of a savory person ~ but I had to buy.
I got:
torta bread
Bread with cheese
Hostess (like) chocolate cupcake
Muffin
And what I have been craving~ tres leches cake
Everything was decent ~ but the tres leches cake wasn’t good at all. That was a complete let down.
All in all ~ I will return for the fresh rolls and maybe some sweets ~ but I will stay clear of the tres leches

Large selection of pastries, breads, cakes, cookies in glass cases with sliding doors along the walls of the store.
You can meet Jessica herself, she will give you a silver platter and a pair of tongs, with which to load your plate with selections from the cases.
Most of these are sweet pastries, but there are also plain breads, cheese breads, etc. I especially liked the bolillo with jalepeno.
Conchas, cuernos, galletas, polveron. .. everything was good and for very cheap prices. Friendly people are here.
There are many Mexican panaderias in Chicago so it’s difficult to say which is really the best, but Jessica’s is highly recommended.
