This was just one of those places you happen upon during a quick lunch break. First, the barista was awesome and very nice to talk to. When you are in a hurry having everything pre-made was super helpful. The ordered some sort of peanut chicken salad that was actually very good. What wasn’t that great was the mocha latte; The Coffee Bean is way better. I do think it is one of the better choices in the food court.

…Mama met a Jazzman, years and years ago, so begins my poem Jazzman/Jaazman, so when I walked into a Jazzman Café, I was thrilled to see a visual rendering of my poem-somewhat… Loved the sandwiches/tea and was glad to find the Café in Hyde Park too. I was enticed by a turkey sandwich on ciabetta(sp?) roll that promised roasted red pepper mayo, black olives, lettuce tomato and sliced yellow peppers. The shredded iceburg lettuce should have been my first clue as to what was to come. To say I was disappointed would be an understatement The roasted red pepper mayo consisted of a dab of mayo with a tiny dab of red peppers. The sliced yellow peppers were non existent and there was 1(count em) 1 slice of a black olive. The sandwich was dry and the bread was stale. I also ordered a cranberry muffin. It looked tempting with one cranberry baked into the top of the muffin. It was the only cranberry in the entire muffin. I would have given 0 stars but the blueberry green iced tea was good and the service was friendly, efficient and the restaurant was clean.

I stopped here as my husband wanted a quick snack for lunch as we were going out for dinner later. He ended up getting one of the sandwiches in the little refrigerated section. Needless to say he didn’t really like it. I ordered a chai tea, which wasn’t on the menu that I could see, but the friendly man behind the counter made me one, It wasn’t good at all, though. :(Ah, stick to the menu, me thinks. It was nice they had seating and a T.V. for people to watch, along with some computers. The man behind the counter was friendly and helpful and the place seemed clean, but just not a place for us.
