Finally a jerk spot that is on point not named Jerk Villa. This is a Hidden gem on the south side of Stony!

My husband was hesitant to try this place because he only goes to Jerk Villa and Uncle Joes, but it’s close so we gave it a try. Love it!!! The food is good, they are pretty quick getting it out!

BEST jerk on the SouthSide!!! Ordered a pan of chicken for a party recently and everybody wanted to know where I got it from. The price is right and the service has gotten faster since they opened.

If I could give zero stars I would. I ordered oxtails and had high hopes they would be good. Unfortunately they were scorched and pitch black in color. I really wish I had checked my food before I left. My destination was too far for me to go back with the food. I don’t understand how whoever prepared my food even gave out food in this condition. I will NEVER go back.

Okay… Now after Jamaican Jerk Villa 2 on State/Cermack burned down late last year I have been looking for a back-up! Just can’t get to 79th easily and keep hearing horror stories about the lines now… So a co-worker mentioned them to me and she compared it to good Olé Jamaican Jerk Villa(which I got her hooked on). She said they were very good and had just had them not too long ago. Well, I called it in and was told 15 minutes. I gave it extra time as we know you have to especially working with Villa all these years! I get there and it’s ready, heavy and wrapped!!! I was VERY surprised, like WOW… Okay… great start. I get it home after a long ride home. I open it and it’s PIPINGHOT… «Oh Snap»…(In my Carl voice)… Man LISTEN… I tore a freakin hole in that food. Dang NEAR gluttoned myself… I was like, «This taste like freakin Villa.» I told my guy Tone about the place, him and his wife went. They bof not«both»(B.O.F.) TORETHEIR’S UP… So the next time I go, I get my order, everything goes the same way as last time. It’s ready and I’m on-time. Upon leaving I see a bottle of Villa seasoning in the window. I was like, «Yup, it’s Villa». The only difference is the how the chop their cabbage and the gravy for the rice and beans. The cabbage is still on-point. The gravy is a little different but still good. I paid them yet ANOTHER visit a couple of weeks ago and saw my man working. He used to grille the chicken at the original Villa. In fact Tone told me he seen him in the back when him and his wife came. He remembered me, I asked him about everybody at Villa and they are actually all family and STILL doing great. I recently sent my sister there for some catering. Outside of original Villa on 79th street and Cermak/State and forthcoming 22nd and Michigan Ave. THISISHANDSDOWNMYGO-TO… Word-Is-Bond yo, it is a GO! Goneee… –JV
