My friends daughter was being physically abused by Laquisha Lee at «It takes a village» daycare on division & pulaski. When the owner found out, she fired the Laquisha before my friend arrived to pick up her daughter. The owner also failed to notify the authorities so that the daycare was not exposed and liable. Its unbelievable that someone would try to hide such horrific actions! Laquisha Lee dragged my friends daughter on the carpet causing burns on her face and they also found scratches & bruises all over her little body. It will be reported on the news tonight. We enrolled our child at It Takes a Village River City and were not impressed with the ratio of teachers to kids. The space is great and very convenient, but personal observations confirm they treat ratio requirements casually. While some teachers/staff seem great, one in particular was very defensive and unprofessional when asked about ratio. Perhaps it is just growing pains, and I hope things improve as It Takes a Village settles in to its new home, but we are unenthusiastic.
