Irving M Ringel

I have purchased 3 rings from Irving M. Ringle. The first two were for my first wife and I dealt with Arnold Mitzman, Jeff’s father. I was extremely satisfied and considered Ringle my jeweler as I purchased additional jewelry other than engagement rings. Having gone thru a divorce and finding a wonderful new wife, I never considered another jeweler for my new wife’s ring. This process was positive as well until recently. Jeff designed a beautiful ring but some of the smaller stones have fallen out causing us to have to bring the ring back on four different occasions. The last time, Jeff assured me that he would fix it properly. Three days after this last fix, 3 stones fell out again. Having left Jeff several messages without a return phone call, I can only assume that we are on our own to get this fixed. The purchase price of the ring was almost $ 10,000 and we are extremely disappointed. Time to find a new jeweler !

I too just recently bought my engagement ring for my fiancé with Irving M Ringel. Jeff was wonderful to work with, and knew what I wanted, how I wanted it after a few minutes. He also provided an instructional on diamonds, as I had not known much about the scale.

Now that the proposal is out of the way, I can finally write this review.
Engagement ring-​shopping can be an stressful time but Jeff Mitzman at Irving Ringel put me ease. He started me off with a diamond tutorial on more than just the 4 Cs. We covered table, depth, fluorescence, etc.
Based on my price range, Jeff pulled five diamonds that satisfied the myriad categories covered in the tutorial. I didn’t feel pressured at all to buy the most expensive diamond or stretch my budget. He said that the extra money I’d pay for a higher quality diamond would not translate to a more beautiful ring.
After selecting the stone, Jeff’s set it in less than a day. He set the diamond in a simple, thin platinum band to complement my fiancée’s dainty hands. The prices are tremendous as the cost was only 51.6% of the appraised value. As I left, Jeff let me know, «If she doesn’t like it, rejected the proposal, or whatever, just bring it back. No problem.»
Well, my fiancée just returned from the re-​sizing, and she had a similar pleasant and speedy experience. Jeff encouraged her to bring the ring back every 6 months for a polishing. When she asked what the re-​sizing and polishing would cost, he responded, «Geoffrey basically paid for all that.»
My fiancée absolutely loves the ring. It’s beautiful and I have Jeff to thank for that.
