Howard’s Sewer & Plumbing

I’ve worked with Howard before and had a good experience.
I brought Howard in recently to help solve our basement flooding. We came up with a plan, we accepted a mutually satisfactory price, and he quickly secured the necessary permits. Unfortunately, after 6 hours of digging, he did not locate the sewer line that we were searching for. Rather than hit me up for more cash, like others would have done, Howard honored our Contract and came back the next day to locate the sewer line and fix our problem.
Howard is professional, on time, and does what he says he’s going to. Unfortunately, I can’t say that about too many other contractors.
Unfortunately, all good things must end. I asked him to perform a job, which I then paid him for. Once I inspected the work, I discovered it was halfway complete. I told him and he said he’d come back. Weeks went by. I heard excuses about having to go to court, being sick, etc. Ultimately, once pushed, he said the job was done and he’s not returning. To make matters worse, I discovered that since they don’t bother with dropcloths or other means to protect someones home, he splashed that plumbers glue onto our new carpet, which is now ruined. When I presented that to him, no apology and certainly no effort to make amends.
