Assholes. I was one punch away from a free pizza! After eating this crappy pizza since 2011 we finally earned our free pie and now you’re closed. Lame!

I typically love this pizza place and the employees that work there. I have called to order a pizza 7 times now and no answer of the phone. How can a business not answer a phone? Business 101. Disappointed. I guess I have to sit there and wait while they make my pizza. Because I am determined to get a pizza tonight.

I’ll try any kind of pizza, even the kind you have to bake in your own oven. That’s the catch with this place, and their twist on the whole takeout pizza experience — pies are made with quality ingredients, your choice of toppings, and you bake it in your own oven so it’s hot and fresh and works down to the minute with your at-home schedule. It’s a fun concept. Maybe more so for children. They have mini pizza-making kits that kids would probably love. However, a kid wouldn’t really know the difference between a $ 2 grocery store ‘za or a fancy fresh one from HomeMade… I picked up some goods from HomeMade and we enjoyed all of it — herb/cheese breadsticks, large veggie pizza, goat cheese salad with mixed greens, cranberries and candied walnuts. Our little oven did the best it could, but residential ovens are just not the same as restaurant pizza ovens. So while our pizza tasted great, the middle bottom was a tad soft, almost soggy, while the crust was golden brown. The breadsticks turned out much better maybe because they were simply smaller and didn’t have any toppings. The salad was very fresh and a great combo with the walnuts, berries and goat cheese. I’d get HomeMade again for a special night hosting guests or as a treat to bring with me somewhere, but if I want to bake another pizza at home for myself, I’ll probably just head to Trader Joe’s and opt for the frozen variety…

My fiancé and I decided to go here Sunday night because we had never tried it before and heard that it was good. To be short, this place did not disappoint. The gentleman there who was ringing up our order was incredibly helpful, knowledgable of the menu, and very welcoming. The pizza they threw together was a mix of two of their menu items, and it was excellent. Fresh ingredients, and a nice staff. Can’t go wrong with this place. We WILL be back.

So I recently moved into the area and we were looking for a healthier alternative to delicious Pizza — ANDWEFOUNDIT! I’ve heard of HomeMade Pizza Co., and thought — «hey lets give this a try». Let me just say, i’m done with those traditional pizza places. HomeMade Pizza ISJUSTAMAZING!!! This is taking pizza to the 21st century! Everything is so fresh + tasted gourmet, at a less cost than your traditional pizza shop. Plus the experience is so smooth and easy. I ordered online, picked up my pizza, and the store was so clean with such nice people. Plus has a great family atmosphere and energy. The usual pizza shops are crowded, hot, and greasy. HomeMade Pizza is probably one of the top three best pizzas I have ever had. We ordered The Georgia, the Sante Fe chicken sausage was out of this world, fresh poblano peppers, and Ricotta cheese — easily my favorite. We also had the Garden Veggie Calzone, which was pretty great and huge! Our family loved it, and made a great night of it. My 3 year-old just loves seeing the pizza being made in the oven. A large pizza and calzone was more than enough to feed a total of 5. Plus afterwards, you don’t feel OVERSTUFFED and disgusted from those other traditional greasier pizzas. Let me just say, we found the place we’ll be ordering pizza from probably forever!

I am a HUGE fan of this place. I have ordered from here twice already. The gluten-free pizza won me over. I am not a gluten-free person per-say, but if I ever came to be or new anyone that was, this would be the first pizza joint I would recommend to them. The pizza is made fresh everyday and the veggies are phenomenal! Salads are also a top of the list dish for me. I recommend you get your pizza-on at Homemade Pizza Co pronto! You would love it! Guaranteed!

Since going gluten free, I’ve missed pizza… realllllly missed pizza. I noticed the gluten free pizza sign on the door and had to try it. It was good… really good. I ordered the pepperoni(which is nitrate free). The crust was thin and crispy, all the happy memories of eating regular pizza without the nightmare afterwards. The staff, very friendly and helpful. I’ll be back :)

So yeah you have to bake off your own pie but it takes 12 minutes and the crust comes out perfect every time. If you manage to screw that up then you probably should give up any kind of cooking. The pizza is pricey, yes; however, they give away $ 5 off coupons and ½ off coupons all the time. I don’t agree that it tastes like a frozen pizza, and which frozen pizza are you comparing to anyway? CPK pretty much tastes the same in and out of the store, Red Baron is so horrific it put me in the hospital one night — so between the two extremes, I think Homemade is pretty good. But you should ask yourself… Do I like my pizzas hoped up on sodium and fillers? Then maybe I’ll stick to Jewel for my pizza b/c to me that’s tasty. So, Homemade on Roscoe, you have at least one customer that will keep coming back and appreciating a good pie.

After going back again the novelty quickly wares off and the price(high) stays the same. There are several places that deliver to my home that taste better(way better) that cost the same.

This place is waaaaay overpriced for something I have to cook myself? If I am going to pay that much for pizza, the least you can do is bake it for me in that giant oven you have. I can go to Jewel, get the ingredients myself, pay have the price and cook it myself. When ordering pizza from a pizza place, the main reason is becuase I dont want to cook. This is simply stupid and a waste of money.

The Homemade Pizza Company opened up in the neighborhood in early November fresh with free samples — not a bad way to get your feet wet with the locals! We stopped in the day before Thanksgiving in order to have something other than turkey and wouldn’t result in leftovers. The place is stark white with the menu on the wall and a very friendly staff that is more than happy to help you when putting your pizza together. They have pre-arranged pizza on the menu or you can select your ingredients and build your own pizza to take home with you. If you order something custom — not one of their pre-arranged pizzas — it may take a bit longer as they put it together for you. We bought a pizza and a salad and had dinner for under $ 20 — not too bad! I think the customer service at the store was great — let’s hope it continues past the first month of business. It’s a good addition to the neighborhood!

I must admit, when I first heard of Homemade Pizza(long before actually trying it), the idea seemed a little odd. I just didn’t get it. Order in or heat up a frozen pizza, people, we don’t need a third«middle» option. Well, perhaps we do. While Homemade’s pizza surpasses frozen in both taste and quality, it will not replace my favorite delivery place. Some perks, however: + You can order online and choose your pick-up time. Perfect for grabbing something on the way home from work. + They are mad coupon-happy. Seriously. Boyfriend found a coupon code on their website and we got another with our pizza when we picked it up. + Freshness. + They deliver(but so does my other favorite delivery place, so perhaps this is a zero-sum kind of perk). + They have big cookies you can heat up at home. Yay cookies!
