Hogsalt

Sodikoff is my favorite restaurateur! Best restaurants in Chicago are from Hogsalt and the latest edition had me incredibly impressed… RH’s experience in Gold Coast sealed the deal. ⁷⁄₁₁ tried, and all 7, thus far, are among my favorites.

It’s mysterious to me where the Hogsalt team is located. I know they have a hold on the Chicago dining scene and Brendan Sodikoff seems to be the man of the moment. Talk to any industry folks and one of Au Cheval, Maude’s Liquor Bar, or Donut Vault seem to pop up. I think Bar & Boeuf, Gilt Bar, and maybe some other establishments are also lightly mentioned and there are probably more places in the works.
«Preservation of food culture» is the motto and they’ve indeed created an aura in the Chicago eats department. I’ve hit a few now and certainly enjoyed my share of the various cuisine they produce. i Look forward to seeing more the next time Im in town. 4.5 stars
