«What everyone else said» It’s a Mom and Pop shop with standard American sandwich fare. Coffee is standard(extremely hot! — be careful) early 90s American coffee. Prices are very fair for the area so that’s cool.

There is a Harry and he proudly lets you know that he has been here 36 years. Great breakfast sandwiches for ridiculously inexpensive prices. I’m sure the lunch fare is just as good.

I had a pastrami sub. Just terrible. The bread did not taste fresh and the sandwich was lacking in every way. Made potbelly subs shine in comparison.

Delicious subs on crispy French bread and fully dressed. They also have free sides of hot pepper if you want to spice it up. The people who work here are also incredibly nice… kind of feels like you went home to mom’s for lunch

This is the way sandwiches are supposed to taste. The ingredients are fresh and prepared just right. The bread is delicious and doesn’t overpower the filling. The place is classic and so is Harry. If you’re tired of chains and want a real sandwich, Harry is your man.

Solid sandwich stop in the loop near both the metra and L stations. They have both breakfast and lunch items, reasonably priced and both kinds taste good. Maybe not mind blowing but you know what you’re gonna get and I’ve never been disappointed

First time trying it. I’ve never heard of the place and loved it. Got the roast beef and loved every bite. Made fast and made with quality ingredients. Definitely will be back

Sooooooooo, I’m mixed on this place. Not a bad little mom and pop operation. I thought overall the ingredients in my sandwich were decent enough, but the french bread was wicked hard. You know how you bite into a sandwich that’s too crunchy and you pretty much cut the roof of your mouth… The prices were ok, and the amount of food was about right, but c’mon man, a sandwich starts with the bread. Get it right!

I was very unimpressed with this place. It was 10 dollars for a regular sandwich was not very big and a bag of chips. The sandwich was bland and the bread tasted like it had been left out a while. I tried this place based on all the high star rankings and I have to say that this is one of the rare places that all the people who hate this place are actually right.

Really good, if not a tad expensive. Favorite is the ham and turkey. Ingredients taste really fresh and mix really together. Also, sounds weird, but I think the cheese(?) ties it together very well. I can’t place it, but my mouth is watering as I type.

Don’t stop here! I was walking past Harry’s and thought it would be a great place to grab a quick sandwich. Unless Harry is a Chinese women who wants to steal your money, something has changed. I ordered a hot roast beef sandwich, the details on the sandwich board did not mention that the regular size included ½ a piece of roast beef. The bread was so stale that the roof of my mouth is still torn up(I ate there a month ago) I should have eaten it like the hot dog eaters who dip in water first. After I was given my $ 10 sandwich I was asked if I would like pickles wrapped in a napkin, I am still not sure if this was just left over from another patron, their fancy way of delivering pickles, or some form of multitasking. Stay away from Harry’s

Great tasting fresh sanwiches and the couple who owns this place are just so darn cute, it makes me happy to give them my business. I love coming here. I really like the pastrami sandwich and anything from their breakfast menu.

I’m feeling mixed about this. I got a torpedo this time around, but a time before that I had a different sandwich, but I couldn’t remember what it was. This time the sandwich was good, but not something that stood out in my mind– like a «must have» in Chicago. The first time I went the sandwich was so good that I said to myself I have to come back for that sandwich. Now I forget the sandwich I ate. Kinda ironic. I guess the sandwich was not as memorable as I thought…

Solid food for solid price — clean and friendly Fast if you do not ask for it toasted — about a dozen tables to eat there — or take it to go as I do

Really? Really? I literally just finished a to-go corned beef. Terrible. Tasteless. Hi Harry, Congratulations, you made a sandwich that qualifies as food. Ingredients were not fresh, the ‘hot’ sandwich left me cheese un-melted and my beef tepid. If you are reading this, my guess is you got off the Jackson Blue and passed a window with nice gold writing, and you thought «hmm, I’d like to try that independent NY style deli». Unfortunately, the comparison stops with the lettering. Luckily, you are an intelligent Unilocaler and came here to read my review! Don’t waste your time(or $‘s!). I mean, I got to throw out a Keyshawn on this one. Harry? C’Mon Man!

Best and freshest breakfast sandwiches available in the loop, but their lunchtime subs are nothin special. I stop in here for a breakfast sandwich and an orange juice almost once a week. They make it fresh on a griddle right in front of you… none of that preformed egg business like at other places. I’ve had their subs at lunch a few times and they aren’t all that special. Do not get their tuna, egg or crab salad, they do not make it and it tastes like plastic. The staff is really nice and so pleasant to visit in the morning. Stop by here for a breakfast sandwich, but don’t go out of your way to come here for a sub.
