I really enjoy shopping at this hardware store. Bill is always really helpful. Whether it is recommending the right tools for the job, eyeballing a paint match from a sample, or providing qualified local referrals for the more complicated stuff this is the place to go!

This place promotes itself as the«Pro-shop» — owner is a golfer. They know there stuff having dispensed how-to advice for like 50+ years. Pricing is good and even better when you consider the price-less one-on-one advice.

Stopped in here yesterday to get an extra key made. The guys were really friendly and I had a copy made right away. They seem to have a lot of basic home hardware supplies and a large paint section. They do have a $ 10 limit on card purchases, but I expect that from small businesses.

This place is awesome. The guys at another hardware store that shall remain nameless recommended we come here to get latex floor paint, and I’m super glad we did. They spent a bunch of time with us picking the best paint for what we needed — and remembered us later when we came in to get another quart. Really great experience. Also picked up some other stuff while we were there, just because it’s really hard not to. Everything was really reasonably priced, too. Can’t say enough good about this place. Also a really fun location/old building.

You know your business is old when it has the first phone number! Seriously: 268‑0001. Well, I don’t know if that’s the reason they got such as awesome number, but seriously, they’ve been here for a while. The place looks pretty much like you’d expect an ancient hardware store to: wood paneled, a little stale, walls covered from floor to ceiling with stuff, and filled with people that know their hammers. Their location is in the middle of an old residential neighborhood, and so their main business seems to be in paint, window repairs — stuff like that. Despite the small size, they have almost anything you could expect a hardware store to. My favorite part, though? It breaks a law of the universe: they sell stuff cheaper than Home Depot and it’s mostly American-made. How’s that possible? Haven’t figured that out yet. I try to buy American-made stuff when I can, though. Our economy can use all the boosting it can get.

The service here is the best ever. The guys are unbelievably helpful, even with the curve balls I would bring in while I was a gallery director. This area is exceptionally lucky to have a hardware store so close, I always run here for smaller jobs and forgotten parts or pieces.
