Well my first bad review! Let me start off by saying I love Harold’s Chicken, but the service I received from this particular place was AWFUL! Starting from the cashier to the owner. Just bad customer service. So bad I stopped going here after the incident and I go to the one on 79th and Western their food is even BETTER! Okay I’ll give you the short version. I ordered 2 orders of 5 wings one with extra mild sauce on it the other with little mild sauce on it. When I got home I find out one of my orders didn’t have ANY mild sauce. So I called and advised the cashier of the situation and she tried telling me I didn’t order it that way. Then, I talked to the owner he said he remembered I did order it that way and he will reprimand his employee but he was saying that in like a patronizing way. So I said okay what about my chicken! ANDDOYOUKNOWTHISIDIOTYES I SAIDITIDIOTTELLSME I CANCOMEBACKANDTHEYWILLPUTTHEMILDSAUCEONMYCHICKEN. I explain to him I am on the CTA bus it is COLD outside that’s not a good deal. He says they will heat up my chicken in their microwave. Do y’all see anything wrong with this!!! ??? I tell him I want a new order made right, if I have to come back out to the restaurant. He says that’s not feasible for him. He’ll be losing out on money by wasting the 5 wings they made for me and he wasn’t going to do that. So this has been a few months ago and me and my family hasn’t been back. So I hope he is adding up how much money he is losing out on now because I can’t even COUNT on my fingers how many times we’ve ordered from the one on 79th and western since then!!! It’s a longer commute but at least the service is 100% better. I was SO upset when this happened I wanted to put a big sign up saying don’t support this business HORRIBLECUSTOMERSERVICE. I mean just because a business is in an area with mostly minorities doesn’t mean treat us any kind of way and we will accept it all the same! I really hope he realizes his mistake. That just wasn’t good business/customer service.
