I ordered via DoorDash, and when the food arrived, more than half of the order was missing. I can’t blame the delivery company, they just picked up a bag and delivered it. The food that DID make it to us was mediocre at best. The Pad Thai had no flavor. The Mongolian beef was loaded with chili pepper seeds, as was the hot and sour soup, to the point of being inedible. Maybe dining in its a better experience, but pickup/delivery is not!

It was an okay experience. The sashimi was awesome, it was fresh and delicious. I love sashimi but the only thing I noticed, they are overpriced. For 2 pieces of sashimi, it costs $ 5.00 Well, it’s downtown… what can I expect?

Bad delivery experience. They took over an hour to get to me. Sushi wasn’t cold. All I got was he’s on his way. Then I raised my voice and they said the manager would call me back. Alas, no phone call. Will never give them my money again based on their lack of courtesy.

This is a delivery only review. Ordered a few items from the menu. I like that the place has a variety of dishes you can choose from. Prices are reasonable. Shrimp tempura is a little dry for my tastes. My main dish was the red curry. I liked the flavour profile but wished it had more chicken and vegetables. Rice was okay as it didn’t taste that fresh. I’ll try to visit the place to get a real idea of what the restaurant is really like.

I came here during the Italiano Festival in the summer. I walked in late afternoon and asked if they had lunch special. The owner said yes, we do, and I told her that I need to use the restroom before ordering. I sat down and saw that lunch ended at 3 pm and I politely said I thought you said you had lunch special and as I got up the owner and server were very pushy and were adamant to keep me in the restaurant. The owner/manager had zero customer service and accused me of just wanting to use the restaurant bathroom(I never felt so disrespected in a restaurant). She then told me that someone from the festival clogged their bathroom(which wasn’t my wrongdoing and someone else’s). I decided to dine in and ordered orange chicken with fried rice to prove I «wasn’t just using their restroom». The outcome: the food was bland and a little pricey as other Unilocal reviewers have stated. Would never dine here again. ever.

Food quality was poor, water tasted like sawdust. The servers and staff were very friendly, but the food needs a lot of work. Also it was 80 degrees in the restaurant with no ac running

I’m giving Hana a five star review for their lunch menu because that’s all I ever have. I’ve heard good things about the sushi but can’t say I have tried it. For lunch they give you a ton of fried rice, a entrée of your choice(orange chicken for example) and a choice of drink or 2 egg rolls or 2 crab rangoons, ALL for $ 7.50. It’s the perfect meal.

The food was okay! But the service was extremely poor! How can you put up dishes on the table without a serving spoon? The server was nowhere to be seen. Extremely horrible experience! Won’t ever visit again!

Firstly, the waitress had to be told everything thrice before she could grasp anything, including our order. Eventually we pointed out our items on the menu. Next, we asked her if the TV there worked, she switched it on and made us sit through 4 minutes of YouTube commercial. No sports she said. Unbelievable right?! Then she poured more water into my already full glass of water. It was still better than what she did to the people sitting on the next table, where she poured water into the guy’s glass of beer. The guy’s reaction was priceless. She brought me the remote after I asked her to switch the TV off for the third time. Anyways, the food came before I lost all my sanity, it tasted bland and the portions were small compared to what I had experienced here earlier. At the end of the night all I was glad about was that it was over. I am never returning here.

The place is well lit and is clean. I wish they had turned on the big flatscreen TV but then again I didn’t bother to make a request either. We ay have came on a day where it seems they may have been short staffed or their cook was overwhelmed because the service was terribly slow. Also, I felt like I was coaching the waitresses. When I asked for extra napkins because I came with my toddler the waitress literally gave me one napkin. As far as food, we ordered both Chinese and Japanese items. All the Chinese food came out first which surprised me but at least it was tasty. I can’t say the same about the sushi, in particular the spider roll and salmon skin roll. And actually my salmon skin toll came last which I seriously believe should have been the easiest and fastest thing we ordered. It would take a lot to get me back here when I know of so many other great sushi places. We only came because our originally chosen location had a special event going on that did not allow children.

Never trust a place that tries to blend so many cultures, the miso soup is half chicken broth, I got the saddest portion of unagi for the cost and quality. My boyfriend got pad si u and it was almost unpalatable, a hot pile of over season mush and mismatched vegetables. The crab ragoons were good though.

Despite the other reviews I ordered the tuna roll and sashimi sake for pick up and thought it was great. Super fresh and quick service. The place itself is pretty small and would be good for a casual dining experience. The only downside was when I called she didn’t give me a delivery pick up time and said she’d call me when it was ready, which was literally 10 minutes later. She said the chef was backed up and when I got there they had one couple dining so just a little confusing. Overall I would go back again!

What happened to Hana??? I use to order from here all the time and was always pleased! Food was always good, great price points, and portions were always great for sharing. I ordered the general Taos chicken, potstickers, the volcano appetizer, and crab Rangoon, which I’ve always enjoyed in the past. To my dismay the potstickers tasted like cardboard, the chicken in my entrée was non existent, I mean seriously wtf did you deep fry?! My crab Rangoon was completely empty pockets of deep fried dough as well, and last but not least the volcano appetizer tasted super fishy!(hope I don’t get sick from eating it). If the food didn’t disappoint me enough the extreme price hike on the whole menu sure did. And how do you raise your delivery fee to $ 6?! I will NEVER order from here again. Rather eat a stale piece of bread next time! Don’t waste your money or taste buds here. Update on previous review, both my boyfriend and I got sick from the food! $ 60 in the garbage and we’re both suffering horrible stomach aches. I have never been more disappointed by a restaurant. I won’t ever be wasting my money here again!!!

Do not order for delivery! After over an hour we called the restaurant and after they hunted around for our order, they finally told us that it was on the way. Fast forward 30 minutes, still no food. Call again. We’re told the delivery man got lost and it would take another 20 minutes. At which point we cancelled our order as no Chinese delivery should take 2 hours. Not to mention, why not call for directions if you’re lost? Absolutely horrible service.

I very rarely give a 1-star review, but Hana earned it. I only tried the sushi so can’t speak to the Chinese dishes on the menu, nor will I be trying it after my experience last night. I ordered delivery from Hana last night after a long week and not wanting to venture out into the icy grips of Chicago winter to satiate my sushi craving. The delivery was quick but that is the only positive thing I will say about this place. Every single roll we ordered lacked flavor and the quality of the food is noticeably subpar. We ordered a sweet potato, California, spicy tuna, Las Vegas, and the Red Dragon rolls, resulting in a free order of crab rangoon. Crab rangoon was basically just cream cheese in a greasy wonton, completely lacking in both flavor and the presence of crab. I should have know I was in for the second-worst sushi experience of my life(the first involved food poisoning) upon first glance of the California roll. Like with the crab rangoon, lack of crab! Hana pulls a cheap trick and mixes the crab with mayo to make a crab salad instead of using a solid crab stick. Just gross. The sweet potato roll is normally one of my favorites– this was just ok. The spicy tuna was unremarkable and tasted like watery wasabi. The Red Dragon tasted like old grease, and the Las Vegas was basically a bite of cream cheese wrapped in rice and covered in spicy mayo and a slice of jalapeño, which wasn’t even spicy. Needless to say, I was completely disappointed with my Hana experience and will not be going back. The quality of all the components of the rolls are cheap and Hana attempts to hide it by slathering everything in mayo. For shame. I have eaten better sushi from the grocery store

GREAT Lunch specials, I love their Szechwan Chicken and General Taos Chicken. Just good, authentic, fresh Chinese food. Done right, not rushed like some other nearby spots. They need to improve the heat in there b/c it’s COLD on cold days. I can’t depend on the Spices to warm me up!

I’ve avoided writing a review for Hana because I didn’t think it was right to judge based solely on the smoothies. Finally was able to try some food and now I can say that I really like their food. Notice, I said food — I’ve only purchased for take out — but what I had was good enough for me to return for not just their yummy smoothies — but for their Lomein. I will say one thing, it is a bit on the greasy side — both the Lomein and the Egg Rolls — but it was so yummy in a «bad day» kind of way. The portions are big enough for two meals easy. The smoothies are really yummy. They have over a dozen flavors, and you mix them, and also get tapioca if you’re into that. I can’t pick a favorite because I like probably all of them — however, they are on the sweeter side, so I don’t get them as often as I’d like. The actual seating area is a little small and dark — and I don’t think I’ve ever seen more than 3 tables seated at the same time. Not sure why? As for me, I am usually pressed for time so I just grab my grub and and go.

Whoaaaaa! We just decided to pass by and my friend Lupe said«smoothie», but what I didn’t realize was that«smoothie» also had lunch specials for $ 6.50. Lawd what!!! This combo lo Mein is really good! It took longer then I thought but I must say it had to be fresh! This is really good Lo Mein indeed! I would highly recommend this spot, but know that it’s not the biggest in size but definitely enough space to accommodate about 15 couples or so. I also ordered a mango coconut smoothie that really made me a believer that they ate on the right track with this spot! Prices are really fair and they also have Bento sushi boxes that of course I will try a a later date. Simply stated, this little spot will definitely give the area a run for its money as far as authenticity I just say. Yes, there are a few sushi/Chinese/Thai places in the area known as little Italy, but this ranks up there in taste for sure.
