The Resurrection Day (EASTER) service was «off the chain»! The processional was filled with all the symbols of Easter: the CROSS, LIVING WATER, THE ROSE of Sharon, THE LILY of the valley, THE BREAD OF LIFE, The WINE, THE ROCK, THE CHALICE, the GIAMEChoir, The ministers!!! We also had Holy Communion, the Baptism of the children and the Sermon-«Shake, Rattle and Roll». If you want to go to a Church that exemplifies Rebirth, Renewal and FAITH, come to GI (as Pastor Johnson refers to Greater Institutional AME).Your spirit will be lifted and enlightened, esp. with with the MUSIC MINISTRY!

Best church experience that I have ever had! You can expect a spirit filled service anytime you go with a warm and loving congregation to greet you. Pastor Walter B. Johnson and his wife Sandra are very personable and make themselves available to members and the community on a regular basis. This church is all about praising the Lord and nurturing all who enter its doors. So come and visit with us! I guarantee that you won’t leave disappointed.
