This location is «very well hidden» and I’ve walked by it a million times without even knowing it was there. I’m a big fan of the fresh wrap options and always go with the Chips and guac on the side. Solid selection of options to choose from and I recommend the following wraps: — Flagstaff — Santa Rosa — Nogales The only downfall of this place is the wait, they aren’t the most efficient in terms of making your sandwich or wrap so be prepared to stand in line for a decent amount of time if you plan on going during the normal lunch rush.

They have some decent selection of healthy sandwiches and wraps, paired with a variety of sides from fruit to potato salad to slaw to chips and guac etc. HOWEVER this place’s lines move at a glacial pace. I arrived at 11:45 with only maybe 7 or 8 people in front of me, and already waited more than 10 minutes to just place my order(and ofc even more time to actually get the food). Past noon the line has tripled in size, which means it’s probably going to be a good half an hour at least before you get your food. This is a little unacceptable for a loop lunch place when most people probably have spreadsheets and meetings to get back to sooner rather than later. Luckily I didn’t have anything important in the afternoon — but if you are just taking a quick lunch break don’t come here.

Now I have two locations I can choose from, convenient that they are super close. Busy at lunch hour… but I don’t mind because thats typical of any good fast casual restaurant in Chicago. I order online and pick up my food when I’m in a rush. San Clemente is still my favorite sandwich with a side of chips n guac and salsa, sometimes I add bacon to it. Don’t think anywhere else on the loops gives you that much salsa and guac with food. Second favorite sandwich is the ravinia. Highly recommend either Goodwin’s if you work in the Loop or close by!

It’s a cute salad/soup/sandwich with a wide selection of options on the menu. Can be a little slow if you go right at noon but the sandwich is well worth the couple extra minutes waiting time!

I really enjoyed this place the first handful of times I went. Now, each experience gets a little worse. Online ordering is fantastic as the line here is frequently out the door. The quality has gone downhill. I loved the Baja sandwich and now they seem to have changed the bread making the sandwich not as tasty and smaller, for the same price. Their salads that were one completely delicous are just blah. No better than an average chain downtown. My last salad had tons of yellow lettuce and the hard bottoms, no leafy greens. I ended up throwing most of it out.

Maybe I didn’t order well, but I don’t think a lunch item chicken quesadilla should be big enough and pricey enough for a family of 4, and have so many roasted green chilies in it that you literally can’t taste anything else. Or maybe the rest of it was tasteless, I couldn’t tell. The chips are waaay too thin for the thick guacamole, which was tasty, but I had to triple up the chips so they wouldn’t break in trying to scoop it up. And as an aside, the clientele here is super snobby.

I am a long time fan of the original Goodwin’s — even after they moved to Wacker. Their online ordering process is on point. This new location, not so much. Placed an order that was supposed to be ready around 12:10. Got there, told them about it and the lady in charge of the register casually picked up order sheets from the printer and put them on the kitchen station without giving us an update or indicating that our orders would be prioritized. 20 minutes later, I got my sandwich and guac n chips. No apologies. Food was not as good as I would expect from Goodwin’s — the sandwich(San Clemente) was good however I think they forgot the chimichurri sauce or maybe I was too angry to taste it; the guac was a little bit bland but the salsa was good. I really hope that the online order mayhem is just something that they are/will be smoothing out soon because this location is great and the food is relatively consistent.

Did a pick-up, as this was a snowy day and I work in the building. I liked the spread of options, with many of their items having a west-coast influence that signals fresh quality ingredients and flavors. I wish they had a rack for their pick-up orders or a defined area to go to, because I always just cut the line and wait by the pay area, except other customers just think I’m being rude or in the way. Anyways, I got the Santa Maria with the wild mushroom couscous as the side. I was pretty disappointed in the sandwich. It was not spicy at all. On top of that, it was pretty bland. Bread was nicely toasted. The cheddar didn’t do much for the sandwich. Maybe I didn’t order the right thing, but I felt like I ended up consuming more calories than I had hoped, for something that did not satisfy my taste buds. I did enjoy the mushroom couscous, but certainly not amazing. Overall, for something so mediocre, felt like I might as well have gone to Corner Bakery.

Great place! The Napa wrap is amazing. Plus, this location looks a lot nicer than the other, older location.

Today was my first visit to this location. I ordered my usual which I love, love, love — the Key Largo which has chimichurri, avocado, sour cream, couscous, beans and I add chicken. The wrap came and looked like my usual Goodwin’s Key Largo but as I started eating it, I noticed that the avocado and and sour cream were just at the open side of the wrap and not distributed throughout which left the rest of my wrap pretty dry. I hope there isn’t a difference in quality between this location and the one on Wacker. I’ll give it one more shot before I make the longer lunch trek again to the Wacker location.
