This gamestop was a little frustrating. there are a few people working in the store, but not very helpful. Every game i picked up and took to the front to purchase ended up not being in stock. They sold me video games that were scratched beyond repair and was not even playing. After asking a few times if a certain game required more accessories, was told no, only to take it home, open the package and see that accessories are sold seperately. i ended up taking the games to another gamestop and exchanging.

I came here to buy my husband a ps4. I traded in his ps3 for it. While in line, a customer traded me a cord I was missing for my place in line. I thought it was a great deal because it saved me $ 15. It was almost my turn so he was seen right away. An hour later I realized why he traded me. His transaction took at least an hour. I was reading the promotions on the window and the employee working had nooooooo idea how they worked. I literally explained them to both him and he customer. He explained everything incorrectly and made it a very confusing situation. He consistently gave incorrect pricing. The manager had to step out to take the long line of customers just making simple purchases. He kept telling his employee to move to the next screen to get the final prices with promotions and everything. He wouldn’t do that and even once he finally did, still gave incorrect information– actually making the customer ahead of me put things back thinking he was getting a bad deal when he wasn’t. Anyways, same thing happened to me but I work in retail and understood what should have been happening; even with all the wrong information he was throwing at me. I went behind the computer and explained it to him. Even told him what the final price would be and he insisted I was way off until he saw the total. Then he just said«well I don’t know,» and insisted he was correct. It was an over two hour long, very frustrating, experience. I will not return. I would recommend another store until the employees are properly trained.

They call this particular gamestop a «store of the future.» If so, then the future is bleak indeed. Sure, it has those fancy touchscreens and demo stations, but the staff is entirely surly, unhelpful, and only cares about wasting everyone’s time by pushing pre-orders and magazine subscriptions. Save yourself the trouble and find yourself better deals online.
