Their cheese omelet with gyros is great. They also have home made hot sauce which taste awesome with it! Must try. Great prices too.

Wondering what part of this was what got my review removed. «There is an episode I kitchen nightmares brewing here. Not. Even. Kidding. Do not try the falafel nor the shawerma. We had the runs for a day and a half. « Let me try some detail I had the falafel. Any fool could tell it was old improperly kept food. It was rancid. And the shawarma. Gross. It was so gross. Stinky wierd texture gross. We had runny poo for a day and a half.

affordable and friendly. a fair selection of foods, including breakfast all day. polish sausage was fire(my partner tells me that’s a good thing). burger patties a bit too thin but the value meal comes with a lot of fries and a drink so it’ll fill you up.

After I got sushi from a different establishment, which my man does not like, he decided to pick up a chicken Gyro from this place. When he came home with it I cringed after I had read the reviews on here. I wish he was a Unilocaler so he could have been warned. I had a small bite to try. The chicken gyros was DISGUSTING with anemic fries. It tasted funny –like it was actually made from one of those joke rubber chickens. I hope he doesn’t get the trots from this– but I will surely update this review if he does just to warn you. If you want really good Gyros not too far from from here go to Eden’s on Cicero just north of Peterson — I’ve never been disappointed from them and I’ve never gotten sick or felt like I had been poisoned. Time is ticking… I might go out and buy some butt wipes just to be sure. Update: We did not get ill from the food but the thought of it makes us want to boke.

Love this place now that it has new ownership!!! I work next door and go there for lunch once a week or so and it is always great. I typically get the beef shwarma that comes with rice, salad and the best homemade hummus. The owner is super sweet and pleasent and they have done a great job of fixing up the place. check it out for some great comfort food. I HIGHLY reccomend it to anybody in the area.

I’m sad to say with the change in ownership the food here is no longer good. I tried it twice before I gave them the negative review just to be sure. I first tried a cheesy beef sandwich that I picked up and it was just ok, pretty bland overall but not terrible. However, then I did a Grubhub order and that is when the bad happened. First, let me preface this with the fact that we live less than a mile from the restaurant so there should be no issue getting the food hot and fast. However, it took more than an hour for the food to be delivered and when it was the fries were cold on all 3 meals, the shake was melted and too milky, and my burger was burnt on the bottom. Not well done, burnt to a crisp. I called back and complained and they redelivered a new burger about 20 – 30 mins later but the new one was bland and honestly not worth the wait. They did apologize that they were trying someone new but still why wouldn’t you check his work before sending things to your customers? Overall, I will not be back because there are too many other similar options in the area with consistently good food!

Great comfort food at a cheap price for a small neighborhood joint. You have to try their new signature burger and homemade French fries. They have a new owner so things have been changing for the better every day. Definitely worth a visit.

It’s a block away from my place and it’s got a liquor store right next door. Score! There’s only a few cooks working here(for those who haven’t been it’s usually just one cook taking orders, cooking, etc) and I’ve developed a real bond with one of the guys, he cooks a mean cheeseburger! It’s not the greatest food in the world but it’s cheap, open late and clean. You might have some, uh interesting… interactions… with the locals. We experienced a 14 year old gangbanger throwing up signs and trying to start a fight, but luckily my buddy the cook armed himself with a large kitchen knife, kicked the little bastard out and locked the door. Give GT a shot, I reccomend the gyros!

I almost don’t have the energy to write this review. The hot dog was ok, but if you don’t want ketchup make sure and tell them. They loaded it with so much mustard that mom couldn’t eat it. They have a sign in the window that says«soup», but what they offer is a cup of ramen noodles. They add the water and you get it in the Styrofoam cup it comes in. I think not. I don’t care if there are undocumented immigrants hanging about, but I do care that the prices are kinda high for what you get. I won’t be back.

we were drunk. we were stumbling down the street looking or an atm and a cab. i saw a neon sign(or maybe a piece of notebook paper with sharpie taped in the window) sayin’ something about bacon and eggs. we looked at each other and both said simultaneously«you wanna eat there?» obviously the answer was yes. i was so overwhelmed by the thought of delicious, greezy fast food that i didn’t even get past the first menu item before ordering. i had a hamburger and fries. from what i remember of that evening(which isn’t much) they were delicious. some of the details are a little fuzzy, but i do know that we wound up ordering cheese sticks too. after my meal, i found an atm by the door, filled my pocket with cash and stumbled outside to find a warm cab waiting for me in the parking lot. what luck.

i wasn’t really that hungry when we stopped in here but it was still my ‘dinner time’ what’s nice is that this place is open late. I believe it’s until 12am during weeknights and on weekends until 2am. i was dissapointed with the quality of food for a a hole in the wall joint, but i didn’t have very high expectations to begin with. the prices are decent i suppose which keeps the star rating at a 3. if you get a sandwich and you want to add fries you basically take the price of the sandwich and add a dollar. they salt/pepper your fries for you if you’d like, but even seasoned the fries are bland and bulky. fresh though! i had a cheeseburger, it was overpriced by about 2 dollars seeing as how i could have gotten a mcdouble for a buck and would have probably enjoyed it more. every bite was a mouthful, the patty was rather large, and it was topped with fresh ingredients, they also don’t add mayo to their burgers. that’s a major plus for me because mayo is revolting. :) however there wasn’t anything so spectacular about the burger that i’d go out of my way to grab one again. unless it’s late night and im in the area looking for a char broiled taste. they’ve got a refrigerator in the back, a cooler with pop which you can grab a soda from with a meal. my boyfriend got a gyro meal with fries and a pop for about 7 bucks. not a bad deal for all the food he got. They do have a spit which they cook their meat on which is cool but when we came around 1am they were cleaning the spit and reheated their meat. i tried it and had to chew a few times before i got any flavor out of it. i wasn’t a big fan of how it tasted. however if you’re between this place and susies and you want gyros that aren’t of the microwavable kind, this place would be your best bet. i’m assuming fresh, the gyros are better. they also have mexican food, breakfast food, skillets, and things of that nature. the two guys behind the counter were nice and quiet. eat in and they have a row of booths or take out and enjoy your meal at home. either way if you’re in the area late night it’s maybe worth a go for you.

Great food, great portions! The food quality used to be five-star. But after they changed management, the food quality went down a notch. I love their gyros, Italian beef, and fries… nice, thick steak fries. Not stringy and super-greasy. I’m usually not a burger guy, but their bacon double cheeseburgers are the best I’ve had in a very long time. Also, this place usually isn’t crowded. Which is always a good thing. You can usually get in and out in under 20 – 25 minutes. I would definitely drive a few extra miles out of my way for this place.

I finally made it to this diner, and after all it is only a few blocks away from my house. I ordered a couple of things to go, and indeed the food was prepared quickly(fast food, get it?). Like Erika V says, the gyros special is a pile of food with reasonably tasty gyros meat and crispy fries. The ham omelette with cheese came with a pile of hash browns. The food was good and filling, and cheaper than similar meals at Golden Nugget.

I stopped by here for lunch and ordered the gyros special, which came with fries and a drink. It was a huge meal, which I could have easily split with someone. The gyros was tasty and I’ll probably order it again. They had a vertical gyros spit, which is always a good sign. Many fast food places cut corners and use the pre-sliced frozen gyro meat. That’s not the case here. GT’s also offers breakfast sandwiches, omelets, hot dogs, Polish sausage, pizza puffs, and various sandwiches for lunch. Nothing fancy, but go here if you want decent, greasy diner food.

I’ve only had Gyros here, but man they are effin awesome. It’s a nice small restuarant. Pretty hidden, which is probably why it’s never overcrowded. Gyro is the best I’ve had. After the took down my old Gyro spot I found this one. The undocumented immigrants do hang out there, but who cares I’m Mexican.

Just a block south of Gompers Park on Pulaski, GT’s is located in a strip mall across from the neighborhood Aldi’s. Considering I’ve worked in the area nearly 10 years and never visited this place is unbelievable. I’ve passed it many times, reluctant to try, but finally checked it out. It is definitely not a dive considering its proximity to the lot next to the Salvation Army building where the undocumented workers hang out along the fence looking for work. GT’s is a nice diner, complete with the long counter and the round stools. Very clean and shiny counter you can eat off of — literally. Their menu has breakfast, lunch and dinner items you would expect: eggs, bacon, pancakes, hash browns, hot dogs, burgers, gyros, and even a Mexican selection of burritos, tacos, quesadillas and sopes. Being the observant Catholic, I settled for a fish sandwich on this particular Lenten Friday. If Burger King thinks they have a Big Fish sandwich, look out! GT’s stacks about 3 inches tall with all the works included! Lots of fries on the side, and all made to order quickly. Their drinks include Aguas Naturales: Horchata, Jamaica and Tamarindo. Some of the booths have small tears in the cushions, but the overall upkeep on this place is good and the food preparation area looked very clean to me. It’s a lot less crowded than Backyard Grill on Devon about 2 miles north of here, and a lot cheaper too. I think I’ll be returning here more often for my weekly lunch out.
