I had higher expectations for a «Spa» on Michigan Ave. the atmosphere is not relaxing, I could hear the water running from the bathroom several doors down, people talking, and coughing through the whole massage. There is not quiet place to relax before or after. There is one hook behind the door to hang all your belongings. Customer service is lacking! Booked 90 minute massage for myself and a friend. My massage therapist took me back after my friend, who was already taken back after the appointment start time(by at least 5 for her and then another 5 – 7 minutes before mine showed up). The receptionist says that the massage are 90 minutes from when the therapist starts the massage. So, I was dressed and back in the waiting room 90 minutes from the appointment start time, how was that 90 minutes? I mentioned it to the receptionist and she continued to tell me it was 90 minutes, then tried to tell me my massage started first(before my friend’s) who returned the that waiting room 20 minutes after me. She never followed up on my question about the timing until I brought it up again! For the prices here I am sure there has to be better options. Plus, the massage was nothing great. I will not be back!

I went to this salon to get my color corrected after it was basically turned orange by my stylist! So maybe it wasn’t carrot orange but it was too brassy and yes orange in my eyes! I arrived still upset and stressed out about my hair and the moment I walked in I felt forced to have to relax. I was greeted by the people at the counter who were lovely. Upon my arrival I was asked for my coat, offered a drink and made to feel like I was being attended to. It felt very luxurious to have someone care and want to make me comfortable. I think they sensed my anxiety level was through the roof! I sat down with my stylist to discuss my concerns and plan what we should do. She carefully looked at the disaster that was my carrot top head and calmed my nerves that we could fix it. We talked through what toners would be best and went to work. Also, getting my hair washed was the best! She massaged my head and didn’t get water in my ears! Thumbs up to that! The salon itself is very nice. It overlooks Michigan Avenue through huge windows, just one or two floors up. You can see people walking on the street and all the tourists doing their touristy thing. She ended up darkening my hair to a nice brown, with slightly a deep reddish tone to it. Didn’t really want reddish hair but she told me ahead of time that it was going to be expected so at least I was told and not surprised to see. I walked out looking normal again! Thank you for turning a horrible day and ending it on a positive note!

Fuga is an high end salon and the stylists are equally good. I have been going to Fuga for last one year and see TONI and trust me she is superb, too good at her work and extremely professional but what has forced me to write this review is the Receptionist who gave me wrong updates about TONI and told her something equally disturbing about me. Its not good to play politics at work. Would like to request the concerned authorities to please stop this dirty politics if you still want Fuga to be a great place where people come to relax. It was really disappointing to witness such cheap behaviour from such an high end salon. Two stars I have given are also only for Toni.

I just moved to the area so I have been in search for a new hair stylist and I found it. Thanks for Unilocal.Cristy is amazing! She is truly a master colorist and has years of experience! She took the time to listen and offer suggestions to make sure I ended up with what I wanted. I am so glad I went to this salon. I love my hair. Cristy is awesome. I will definitely be back.

I once had a terrible experience at this salon where a simple haircut turned out to be horrible. Needless to say that stylist doesn’t work there anymore! I decided to give this place another try and saw Jessica W. for a cut and blow dry. I absolutely loved how she styled my hair and i have been going back since! I got an amazing balayage and keratin treatment last summer from her as well. This has been my go-to place for hair since the past two years!

So… on my lunch hour I went for a Blow Out, Devin was my guy. Went in with terrible hair and came out looking fantastic, or as fantastic as I am able to be. He spends time talking with you and tries to help you figure out what you are looking for. Very personable and very talented. Not so crazy about the shampoo girl, her nails were long and she kept pulling my hair, not very relaxing at all.(Common sense would say if that’s what you do for a living, long nails should be a no no). But Devin made up for that with his magic. This was my first time, but I am definitely going back! Oh and one more thing, you need to bring cash for a tip, they don’t let you add it to your credit card. Cash or a check, who carries checks anymore?

Extremely happy I went with Jessica at Fuga! I recently moved to Chicago and nervous to find a new stylist. Jessica is amazing! She did exactly what I asked her to do and with a smile. I have very thick, long, wavy hair. She trimmed it just right, perfect high-lights and did the most incredible blow dry job I’ve ever experienced! No flat iron needed! Unheard of for my hair!!! Fuga is a beautiful salon with great views. Not to mention, having a glass of wine while you process is a bonus!

I came to fuga only for a mani and pedi. It’s a beautiful salon and the service is nice(very attentive staff) I would consider getting my hair done because that seems to be what they specialize in. I do feel that their mani/pedi is over priced for the quality of the products and the quality of the work. As much as I loved the girls that did my work, it just seemed like they did not receive many customers for nail services. Perhaps someone with more experience in terms of nail services would help.

I recently moved to Chicago, and through the reviews on Unilocal,I chose this salon. I am incredibly happy with the results. I previously had my hair colored auburn at a different salon out of state around 8 weeks prior to my visit here; the color had faded, and I was ready for a new look. I wanted to return to my natural brunette color but with subtle, scattered highlights, more at the tips. Toni did an excellent job caring for my hair. She tended to my roots and previously dyed strands, blending them into a seamless brunette, and then added balayage highlights and a soft ombré. The results were near-perfect, with surprisingly no noticeable damage to my hair. The salon directly overlooks Michigan Avenue and Millennium Park, full of natural light and a lovely view. The complimentary cappuccino during my visit was also delicious and a fine touch to the whole experience. Lastly, I will comment that a visit to this salon should probably be considered an investment, as it is high end, but in my opinion, definitely worth it.

Visited Fuga on a quick trip to Chicago. Needed a little refreshening after touring the city for several hours. They fit me right in. Clara is wonderful and gave me a fresh new look. The salon is really beautiful looking out over the Millennium Park and the staff are really friendly.

This review is for Clara! She did my pedicure and took great care with every detail. She took her time to make sure my feet were extra soft and super clean. The actual pedicure was flawless. All the while, she was pleasant and funny. I will definitely be back to see her!

I rarely write reviews for non-food experience, but this is a Unilocal 5 star worthy salon! I had my hair colored by Briana and she did a wonderful job. I’m so impressed and wowed by her consultation and she got my hair to look exactly how I wanted it to be colored. Very professional, quick and efficient, knows what she’s doing. Definitely coming back! Also, the view is spectacular. While you’re waiting for your hair to be done, you get to stare at Millennium Park and it’s low enough that you can people watch as well! What’s not to love? I also really like the sleek design of the salon. It’s really modern, clean, and just a great experience if you want to treat yourself.

I am new to Chicago and found this salon through a random Google search– pretty scary, I know, but my hair needed some serious TLC. I called and they were able to fit me in right away with a stylist named Jessica. I was definitely nervous but I was given a glass of Chardonnay, sat down in Jessica’s chair and told her a vague description of what I wanted. There is no other way to say this besides JESSICAISAMAZING!!! She completely fixed my color and my hair looks better than it has ever looked in my entire life! I felt like a million bucks leaving the salon that day and I owe it all to her! Sorry, J, but you’re stuck with me for life. See you in a few months! :)

I love Fuga! I recently made the switch to Fuga after my previous(amazing) stylist made the move to London. While I miss her and her talents, I am so glad I found a new salon to call home. I see James who is so talented and fun to be around. He really knows what he’s doing AND you can tell that he really loves his job. His creativity and knowledge really stand out. He knows what is best for my overly bleached hair, and he finally got my hair to be the«perfect» shade of blonde that I’ve always wanted. The salon itself is gorgeous, with all the natural light coming in from the giant windows facing Michigan avenue and the clean white look of the salon. They always are ready to serve you whatever kind of fancy coffee beverage or wine you could ask for, which is a huge plus. I’ll be coming back here for years to come!

You might just wander down Michigan Ave and never know this place is here. For situated just across from Millennium Park on the 2nd floor of the beautiful, historic Willoughby Tower building is Fuga. And the setting alone is enough to make a visit to this salon for this girl but the services provided are equally as good. First of all, make sure you make note of the ornate lobby and elevator area. The doorman will give you a little history…but if that’s not your thing. . breeze on by and press the elevator button for 2. You will be warmly greeted by the receptionist whether this is your first visit or 50th. I always evaluate new salons by my first impression and this was VERY good. I was given something to drink by a stylist, the receptionist was friendly and welcoming, offering suggestions on where to park in the future and the salon was bright and airy with windows offering a great view of the park. Georgia, my esthetician, was my reason for going as I followed her from her other salon and there were big shoes to fill for this place to match up. But the room was quiet and perfectly isolated for my treatment, far away from the noise of the hair salon which is a pet peeve of mine and the service was flawless. .. I just found my new salon for facials and waxing!!! If you drive– while you might be tempted to park in Millennial Park garages, know that that is going to cost you way more than if you just valet behind the salon on Wabash. The valet at the jeweler there will run you about $ 15…about half of the garages. All in all, a lovely experience that exceeded my expectations. Almost made me want to get my hair done there as the people walking out looked great too!

Great service, very friendly and knowledgable staff, beautiful location with privileged views of Millennium Park, delicious cappuccinos… I LOVETHISPLACE! I’ve lived in many different cities and finding the right place to get a haircut is always a struggle. I moved to Chicago in Aug. 2014 and ever since I discovered this place, I knew I had found the right hair salon. I usually get my haircuts with Toni, she’s great, I absolutely love her. She is very skillful, has interesting hairstyle ideas, is funny and just makes every haircut a laugh.

Earlier this year Fuga Centro hired my regular stylist Maghen, and I’m so happy to see her in the new space! First of all, Maghen is the bomb and I can’t recommend her highly enough. She’s a great listener and always keeps it fresh and easy to upkeep. Fuga has the following amenities: –A beautiful view of Millennium Park –Beverages –Super friendly and accommodating desk staff –Good referral-based and seasonal deals

This place was a great experience! When I walked in, I was greeted and offered sparking water. The inside of this place is beyond beautiful. It is open and airy with bright colors. You felt like a million bucks walking into here. Rebecca is very nice, who is at the front when you walk in. She made the experience great, especially since this was my first time to a salon. Long story short. I went natural after wearing a weave for 12 years. Braids 6 years before that. Never had a relaxer so my hair was in the natural afro state. I went to get my hair blown out, washed etc. I wish I took before and after pictures. Vanessa did an EXCELLENT job(understatement). She also made the experience great. She had great conversation and was fun to hang out with during my hair appointment. They did not estimate how long my hair would take and my appointment went an hour longer. However, she did not rush, which shows that they do really care about the final result and that the customer is happy. The only downfall is I live in the suburbs so the driving and parking is stressful. The parking is the same price are the Splt End Treatment lol. I am taking the Metra in next time and leave the hassle of traffic, finding parking and making it to my appointment on time. I am heading back for the Brazilian Split End Treatment, which is suggested. I’m excited to see the results! =)) I highly recommend this salon to anyone!
