While I no longer reside in that building, I still have my hair done with Jim. He’s worth travelling to. His prices are reasonable, he takes his time concentrating on giving the best haircut and style ever. I’ve also had my hair dyed there (gotta get that gray out) and then streaked. It’s amazing what Jim can do. Very relaxing to watch him work on another customer too.

French Flair is kind of an old school salon, with a few chairs, and located in one of those Belmont Harbor high-​rises. I had Jim cut my hair. He is simply one of the nicest and most pleasant people I’ve ever met. There are also female stylists there. Like the other reviewer here, I brought a pic of mine with a cut I like, explained what I wanted, and Jim spent a good 45 minutes giving me the best scissor cut I’ve had in a long time. The cost: $ 15.00. That’s probably what one would pay at a Super Cuts or other chain. Great value. Easy appointment-​setting and definitely no fighting the crowds. And after my visit here, I felt just like Jacques Pepin. With so much flair in my hair, I ran right home and ran off a batch of Mousse au Chocolat.
