When our family decided to look for a home in Portage Park, I personally was worried that I wouldn’t be able to find a neveria close to where we will reside. Nevertheless, «Fragola» landed their footprint near Belmont and Central, in front of the CTA #85 bus(northbound) post stop. As of 10/18/2015, «Fragola» accepts Visa, Master, and Discover cards, though I’m unsure if there is a minimum cap. I would say having some cash is the way to go because two(2) cups of large elotes, one(1) small cup of gazpacho, and one(1) medium cup of cucumber lemon water cost us $ 10 and some change! Yes, I think some vigilant citizens have noticed that parking is free at the Belmont Central community lot, near the southeast corner of Belmont and Central. Save your coins for some treats at Fragola since there’s no need to pay for street parking on Central. I want Fragola to last because visiting a neveria is part of Rosa J.‘s city-dwelling routine.

Such a cute new spot. Great for an after gym snack or juice. It’s right in front of the gym which now makes me look forward to my after gym treat. Just don’t forget it’s cash only.
