First Midwest Bank

Dealing with first midwest has been one headache after another and I would never recomend this lending institution to anyone. I decided to apply for a home equity loan and the rates they offered were the lowest. Not by a lot but enough to sign with them. The first time I did the loan application Jan from there higgins branch lost the paper work and as such I stood in limbo waiting for a response. After a reasonable amount of time I started looking for another bank but the broker that I was dealing with agreed to cover the closing costs and she sent me to another branch. This went smooth until I went in to sign the documents. After I left I waited a few days for the money to clear into an account that I had signed with them. I then started to write checks so I could pay some bills. With in 4 days I started to get calls from the business’s that I had writen the checks to saying the checks had bounced. Angela the branch manager had informed that all the documents hadn’t printed out and that a hold had been put on the account. (it was nice to find this out after I was hit with 200 in returned check fee’s). First mid west seems to be rampant with ineptitude and dissary. I will be taking my money out of this bank (as soon as I possibly can) and I will never do business with this institution again. If you are considering getting loan I would look else where. This was a terrible experience and one that I would not wish anyone to have
