Never been to a Family Dollar before, but this place is located only a block away from the Dollar Tree. Personally, I’m a bigger fan of the Dollar Tree because pretty much EVERYTHING is a dollar there. Family Dollar, not so much. It is pretty much more like Family Dollars, as you have to pay attention to the price tags there. A lazy mofo like me, when I go to dollar stores, I expect to pay no more than a dollar per item. The trade off here though, is that they sell a lot more items than the Dollar Tree, due to the fact they sell items for more than a dollar. The prices here are«meh». I’m getting more savvy with shopping and I can say that most of the items are priced higher than say, WalMart. For example, the Red Baron pizza you can get cheaper at Jewel-Osco. The one thing I saw that did catch my eye were the bedsheets. They went for $ 16, while WalMart goes for $ 20, Amazon Basics, for $ 19.99. Not sure how good the $ 16 sheets are, but at least that was cheaper than the aforementioned stores. Overall, come in here with caution; You don’t necessary save more money going here. I think this place just gives the illusion that you are getting the«best deal», since technically, this falls under the«dollar store» category.

I don’t know what happened with this particular store. I feel that every day goes down, as saying in organization increasingly in poorer, before I loved going to this store for your organization and cleaning, which is now very difficult to see. all disorganized boxes in each corner and the register are detestable. Many Family Dollar stand by for bad organization and this was a flagship store in all organizational standards but now is «one more» in the list if disorganization talking about.

This place IS pretty big for a dollar store… But I give a 3 because of it’s cleanliness. It looks pretty shabby. Think of a grocery store with white tile gone gray with dirt and needs a good mopping. They have a wide variety for a grocery section, although I’d be skeptical for not knowing how long shelf life is for any item there. Definitely would need to check expiration dates and the presence of gunk on top of canned foods. But otherwise, I think it’s a place that«does the job» when you need some random household appliance or tool that you don’t want to spend much for. Otherwise, I’d avoid it if possible.

Another dollar store popping up in my neighborhood! It’s much larger than The Dollar Tree and more of a selection. They even carry cheap clothes… nothing too great but you could salvage the stuff for material if you’re into sewing. I typically go here for cheap chips and candy. It really could pass for a mini-Walmart…this place is so big! Every toiletry, cleaner, etc. you’d want!
