Fabulous Hair and Weave Salon

after deciding to stop cutting my hair (at a barbershop) and letting it grow, I took on the daunting task of finding a stylist to help me do that. I wasn’t sure if I wanted a weave or braids for protective styling. After searching through countless Unilocal reviews, I came upon Faboulous Hair. I made an appt and met with Denise. Wonderful Denise. We started out with a weave, then twists and now braids. The weave was very good, but I’m old school, so I think that the braids and twists are great. And so is she. My hair is continually growing and looks and feels good at the same time. Also I don’t know how important this is to anyone else, but I always feel comfortable and welcome when I’m there. So if any one f these reasons appeal to you. Denise is just a phone call away.

I love Ms. Angela. She been doing my hair for years and I’m never disappointed. She does the best sew-​ins, quick weaves, natural hair, curls, bobs, braids and ect… You name it she does it. Trust me, you will be satisfied! Her conversations are the best and she’s very professional. Reasonable prices. Can not get no better then that for me.

It’s later, and I’m thanking Abbio (previous reviewer)! I contacted the salon, and Ms. Angela was the one who returned my call. I was interested in getting a quality 3 Part Vixen Sew-​In for my upcoming vacation, so I didn’t have time for trial & error. I’m from NW Indiana & I called several chicago area salons, some were far too overpriced with not enough pics & reviews to warrant it. Ms. Angela was very professional & accomodating. The price is reasonable. She is a good listener to her clients requests. At the appt she gave me a consultation of what could be done. She delivered on exactly what I was asking for. I have a very well done sew-​in to allow flexibility to my kinky curly hair & extns. Angela has a pleasant way which is appreciated! A Gem. The location is fine & the salon’s atmosphere is quiet.

I loveeeeee Ms. Angela! She’s the Best kept secret! She always SLAY my hair, whether I want to wear my hair natural or a sew in, I have never been disappointed! Sew-​ins are the best I’ve ever gotten so I only get her to do them. Plus she’s really sweet and down to earth so it’s easy to talk to her. You’ll Thank me later!

After moving to Chicago about two years ago, one of the items on my «to-​do list» was to find a great hair dresser. After many tries, failures (the weave shop-​avoid at all cost), and several calls to other over-​priced hair salons, I came across this gem, and the great Unilocal reviews certainly lead me in the right direction. I was easily able to schedule an appointment with Ms. Judith, who was kind and professional. I arrived at the shop with ease, and unlike many other salons she took me right away. Throughout the process she asked me exactly how I wanted my hair styled. After it was all done, my hair came out amazing, and after a long and tedious process I have finally found a great hair stylist!

I am very particular about my weave since I have been wearing weave for over 20 years. So many horror stories. However, Ms. Judith fulfilled all of my expectations as a stylist from professionalism, service and quality. I highly recommend her.

I have been going to Ms. Judith for about 4 years now. I have never been so happy and content with a stylist and weaveologist. Ms. Judith takes her time and makes sure you are completely satisfied with your style. Not only that, but unlike most weaveologist Judith is concerned with the health of your natural hair and not just trying to make $$ and have your real hair looking a hot mess. Her skills are the

On top of that she is a genuinely sweet person and makes you feel comfortable and right at home at her salon.

I was referred to Ms Judith by my mother in law. I admired how her sew in looked so natural and the styles always fit her face. Ms Judith is a master weaver if you have bald spots or very thin hair she can install a sew in that will look like you were born with that good hair. Ms Judith keeps current with the styles and always offers you information on quality hair and techniques on maintenance for your own hair and the weave. Ms Judith is the go to person for that special event that is why I had her do my weave for my wedding. She is an expert stylist and she can cut any style as long as you have a picture. You can browse through books that she always keeps on hand in her shop pick out a style and walk out of her salon looking exactly like the picture. That is why ms Judith will always be my stylist and ladies if you want it done right go to fabulous hair salon and let Ms Judith make you look and feel fabulous it always works for me.

As in the previous review, Ms. Judith seemed to me to be a nice person but I was not at all happy with my weave. First of all, when I called I explained to her that I was a weave virgin and didn’t know what type, what length, what, kind, how many packs., etc. She was really no help at all with anything except to buy two bags, which I found out later was way too much hair for my head. The hair was way too long for me and I asked her to cut it which she did, but it wasn’t a very good job. I spent almost $ 200 for virgin remy hair and I think that I might have gotten a bad batch of hair. It tangled easily, was way too heavy and when I called her to tell her I was not happy, she told me to come back in and she cut it a little more. After a few days I just could not stand it anymore and I called her to tell her I wanted her to take the hair out and I never heard from her. It was a very expensive $ 350.00 mistake for me. I will never go back to her again. The least she could have done was apologize for the bad experience.
