I love this Mexican restaurant. I ordered tacos de lengua and tacos of carne asada and they were delicious. Their servers are very sweet and are always courteous. The one time I came(Saturday), their chiles rellenos needed to be heated a little more. They were a bit cold.

This place is GREAT! I went into this place after hiking in the woods for several hours, so I probably could have eaten an entire horse, but I really loved what I ordered. Lady Z also ordered some great food. There is a nice vegetarian section, not tons in it, but nicely stacked. I had some fried items stuffed with potato and cheese, they were delightful and were partnered with some pleasant beans and rice, very pleasant. I ordered a Michelada that pretty much converted my entire mouth into a palace of erotic pleasures. The slasa is great, red and green come out right away with a basket of pleasant chips, for FREE. This is a great family business, vegetarian friendly and meat eater friendly, good for everyone except for people that hate Mexican food, but who cares what those people think, right?

So my gal and I decided to try El Jerenzano because we were craving Mexican food and I had some credits on to burn… we were not dissapointed. We ordered the fajitas, shrimp for her, carne asada for me. Both were served piping hot and it huge portions, even the shrimp, which some places tend to skimp on. Often times the carne asada steak at the cheap-to-moderately priced Mexican joints can be tough and gristly, but not at El Jerenzo. The asada was tender and delicious and very flavorful. The homemade salsa was also very good. Over all I’d say El Jerezano is a well above-average, affordable Mexican joint that is well worth a visit!

I was craving chilaquiles the other day. Ordered from here through grubhub and they were delicious. Exactly what I wanted.

When I lived by six corners I would order from here. I discovered them on grub hub. First order I placed was screwed up. I like my tacos simple. Only lettuce cilantro and onions. Nothing else. They sent me tacos with the total opposite. Cheese, tomatoes and sour cream. I ordered like 8 of them so when I called they told me to keep those and sent me the correct order. So I got 16 tacos for the price of 8. Mom had the first batch. But future orders were no problem except one other time when they did it again. But for my friend this time. He doesn’t like cheese or onions and they sent them with cheese and onions. But I give this place 4 stars for a reason and that reason is they are the best tacos in Chicago. I really miss this place because they won’t deliver to the Norwood Park area even though I told them I have been a long time customer. They really didn’t care. I would give an extra tip but they still said no. Guess they really don’t care.

So… I’m sittin’ on the couch starvin’ like Marvin the Martian and I figure I’ll order Mexican delivery. The food tastes AWESOME! I’m vegan, and ordered the veggie burrito minus the cheese and sour cream and it came fully loaded with veggies — -most places do beans, rice, & tomatoes only. The fries were crinkle fries and they are quite tasty as well — and the HUGE horchata for $ 2.95 was GREAT! Why the one star you wonder? Because the second time I ordered I was suppose to get a free order of guacamole with my order of $ 30 — -and I didn’t get it. When I tried to call the restaurant, no answer. When I tried to call the delivery guy — twice — no answer. When I contacted customer service she said that the hostess at the restaurant was very sure she put the guac in my bag and REFUSED to re-deliver. ???HUH??? A customer says they didn’t get something and you basically just say ‘SCREWYOU’. O_O. So I definitely could have called the restaurant back and went all Chuck Norris times infinity on their answering machine, but gave me a ten dollar discount code to make up for it. *puts down tazer set to kill* Lucky THEM. But I can guarantee this restaurant will not see another order from me again, EVER.

Quick delivery, very tasty, hot and fresh! I love the tilapia tacos, lengua is awesome too. Typical Mexican food, exactly what you expect and want. There are tons of Mexican places in Logan square but until now I hadn’t had any good delivery. Recommended!

This used to be Zacatecas and i think they just changed the name – the food tastes the same. It is very affordable and one of the better Mexican restaurants in the area. We typically get takeout and can eat lunch for about $ 5 each. The burritos are very good and comparable to El Cid(my favorite).
