This is another library that I ventured to back in 2002 when I last lived on the west side of the city. I liked it back then, because I came there every day, but I like it even more now. One of the many reasons why I do like it is the fact that the area and the library itself has gotten much calmer over the past 9 years thanks to the vermin being thrown out the area(thank God for that)! Another reason I like this library is because of the large selection of books that it has available. Because of my inquisitive personality and because I’m always willing to read something thanks to me being a voracious reader and writer, I can’t think of any book or subject in this library that throws off my interest. Another reason why I like this library-the staff. Many of the staff members are nice and helpful, and I really appreciate that. And another reason, how clean and civilized this place usually is in comparison to 2012. Like I said, much of the rowdy vermin is gone thank God, so it’s much better here when it comes to noise level and debris on the floors. Something to note: if you come here and you’re looking for a restroom, you have to go downstairs into the basement to find it. Speaking of the bathrooms, darn, back in 2002, I remember one day when I was headed to the bathroom and saw a huge, no, humongous, roach racing towards it. My silly little 16-year-old self stood there and smiled at the roach instead of squashing the bastard like I should have. That was the last time I’d ever see one here. Still hadn’t seen any, and don’t want to see any.

I’m a fan because the staff is always friendly. This library tends to not always have the latest books that are out. Not like most of the others but they try. The computers are typically fill due to many of the surrounding residents using this library as an outlet and i’m grateful that they choose this instead of the corners. The only Bitter Sweet Site to see is this. This library continues to have all of the Museum Passes available and you typically see visitors from The Gold Coast Attempting to Creep in and Out of this Library to check them out. All because they are 1000000% Sure that the residents of this underserved area will not Dare leave out of the surrounding 6 blocks of where they live. It’s unfortunate. I only hope that awareness is brought to this community.
