Mix up on on when we were supposed to leave. Cut our game off on 8th frame. Apologized and made us good. These guys are awesome!

I’ve done a few leagues here and they’re consistently the best bowling alley in the area. Friendly service, quick to fix any issues with your lane, the food is good, the drinks are affordable, the prices are great with or without the league discount and there is plenty of free parking.

Great drink deals during the week, and discounted games, they play fun music! Hard to get a lane on Thursday evenings because of leagues, but other than that my favorite bowling alley in the city.

So we went here on a Friday night, just me and the gang. It was such a fun night! It was like a time warp into the 80’s! Black lights, neon pain, and strobes! We went bowling like we did when we were 13. It was super cool and the drinks were cheap! #goodtimes

I really enjoy this bowling alley. The beer selection is good, the pizza is decent, and they have cosmic bowling. It feels a bit divey but so do most bowling alleys. The prices aren’t bad and we’ve never had a problem getting a lane. If you drive there, there’s lots of parking.

We’ve been going to DRB for YEARS and we love it! It’s divey and gross and amazing! It’s a good, old school alley, with the pizza, beer, and stinky rental shoes that go along with it. If you want something chic and fancy, this ain’t your place. If you want to bowl and chill and have a good time… this is it!

For a bowling alley, Diversey River Bowl has pretty decent bar food and surprisingly diverse selections. I had a surprise birthday party in their pub room for my husband when it first opened about 7 years ago. They were very easy to work with and the party was a ton of fun. The music during Rock & Bowl is awesome, which helps a little when you have to wait an eternity to get a drink. The bar is pretty small, so on busy nights, it’s tough to get a cocktail. Have to admit, is pretty dingy in the place. Best not to look around too much & focus instead on knocking down pins! Overall, decent place for a fun night out… but I much prefer the old school feel & bar at Fireside!

Better places to go bowling in Chicago. The pizza was ok. They had a decent beer selection. Place was kind of dirty and crowded with Urban Youth. The guy next to us was there with his baby and 4 other children. A bit odd to have an infant at a bowling alley on a Saturday night after midnight.

The guy in the light blue shirt with the microphone has to be the biggest JERK alive. He kept yelling at my friends kids because they accidentally threw two balls down the same lane and he also was yelling at other people for sitting too close to the other lane. He has ZERO patients. Do NOT have your kids birthday party here. You will regret it. I wish zero stars was an option. I am typically one to find the good in people, but this guy made that impossible.

Cheap food, good bowling, great times. Not much more to be said, This place has plenty of lanes, cheap bowling alley food, a full bar, and a couple pool tables. Everything you could want in a bowling alley.

Good times, good eats, you won’t be disappointed… Been here a coup, e of times for fundraisers and bowling time with the hubs. The resturant has pretty good food. The fried shrimp were very tasty as well as their paper thin and crispy pizza. Cheap eats too! Bowling seems to have gotten pricey over the years, buts totally worth it especially when it’s cold outside. P. S. There is a Divy station right by it, ride on over…

Fun place to bowl with friends! I’ve been a couple of times and had a lot of fun. There was quite a long wait(over an hour) when we arrived around 9 on a Friday, but we just grabbed drinks at the bar while we waited. The shoes were well kept, lanes well attended to, and the prices for everything were super reasonable. Overall, great time, although mediocre bowling on my part.

Call me old fashioned, but I prefer my alleys a little rougher around the edges. Watch any bowling movie in history and the setting will reflect more the dinginess of this place than the cosmic club scene of some of the spots the kids are going to nowadays. Diversey River Bowl is an authentic place for the authentic man. Cheap games, cheap booze, and cheerful staff which is exactly what you’re supposed to get with a night of knocking down pins. Picky palates might want to hold off on eating as most of the food is frozen or store bought. If you’re rollin’ 12 pounders and suckin’ down under-thirty dollar beer towers on a Friday night then what the hell else would you really expect? The dude abides of DRB!

I came here on a Saturday night with a few friends. We were planning on going to another bowling alley, so we didn’t reserve lanes, but we were able to snag one within an hour. We killed sometime at the bar which has a pretty great beer selection for a bowling alley. I enjoyed a White Russian Big Lebowski style as well. Yesss! The place is newer, and there are tons of lanes. We were there pretty late on a Saturday night, and they were several parties with small children with them. That was a little strange, but not the alley’s fault. All in all, I had an amazing time bowling here and can’t wait to go back!

As a child of the suburbs, my grandparents took me bowling frequently. I’ve done«city» bowling at 10pin(which I loved), but it didn’t feel familiar. Diversey River Bowl brings all the glory of sprawling suburban bowling to the big city. Lots of lanes, two bars, mist and lights and rock ‘n’ roll at night. It’s a great time. Gotta deduct a star because their scoring system is super antiquated. There are old tube TVs with touch screens and they’re not very user-friendly. It’d also be nice to see the scores overhead, instead of on tiny screens by the ball return. Also, the tables are set up oddly with six seats facing away from the lane and four facing it. Not terribly conducive to hanging out with a big group, unless you don’t mind ignoring the game entirely. Still, I had an awesome time and I expect to be back for another trip down memory lane*. * Pun intended.
