The situation at 15 N. Bishop has gone from bad to worse. The city sent a group of inspectors over and essentially told us the place was dangerous to habitate. Distinctively Chicago let us out of the lease but refused to compensate us for any of the problems. They claimed the building did not have to comply with the city ordinance because it had «special circumstances». I spoke with several attorneys, including the owner’s personal attorney, who told me the ordinance does not grant exceptions for any reason. Research should the owner is indigent but was willing to indemnify Sam and the builder who was negligent in building was also broke. There is nobody to sue. Don’t trust Sam. He is liar and a thief.

This company is completely untrustworthy.
These guys are crooks.
Do yourself a favor and avoid this company at all costs. The people there are unprofessional. My experience with them has been nothing short of criminal.
They lie. They will tell you anything to get your business. Then they will disappear.
Learn from my experience. Take a pass on these guys and save yourself a world of grief.
