Nike and I came here when we stayed in the Crowne Plaza. The restaurant was empty but they made us make reservations well in advance. The seats were all old and had cracks in the«leather». Our waiter was nice but she never check in on us only to take orders, bring the food and check. The food was mediocre at best and felt more like bar food than restaurant quality food and for the price.

Sort of a hidden gem in the West loop inside the Crown Hotel. This is a quaint diner/restaurant with a modern flair, relaxing, fun and a good stress reliever for the end of the work day. Great food, always top quality and the service is impeccable I frequent the Dine often and have held several functions there. The manager Michelle is awesome. Just tell her MJ sent you, she’ll take real good care of you. Until next time… good eating :-)

I stopped into Dine for lunch on a Sunday and had a decent meal. Décor: It is the restaurant that is part of the Crowne Plaza hotel so you don’t go into it expecting too much. But everything is pretty much normal. It’s a restaurant and that’s about it. I guess I would describe it as attempting to be a bit more upscale but really it is just a pretty regular spot. There are a bunch of tables, a few booths, and there are plenty of windows to let in a lot of natural light. Everything seemed clean and well looked after, then again I was not there during a busy time. Bathroom: It is in the hotel lobby and it is also well taken care of Staff: The greeter was nice enough, and the waiter was friendly, but after I ate they both seemed to kind of forget about me. It is understandable, however, as I was literally the only one in there at the time. Food: I kept it basic and just had a Turkey Club sandwich(which came with sweet potato fries). It wasn’t really a club sandwich(not a double-decker) but it was very well made, lots of meat, and tasted good. The fires were also enjoyable. Overall, not bad! Value: The prices were right where I expected them to be and I feel as though I paid for the service I received. Oh, I also had a Unilocal coupon for 20% off for checking in! Solid! Dine was fine for a quick lunch stop. I’d come back again.

I was hesitant because this is in a hotel but have been pleasantly surprised, I stay here about once a month so I have eaten here often. Good is very good and portions are very generous. Enough to share! Soups are very good, sandwiches and burgers are fantastic, and breakfast is great. I have never order a dinner so I cannot comment on meals. Wine and beer happy hour and you can grab a free coffee to go in the morning if you are staying at the hotel.

I stay at the Crowne Plaza a few times a year, and this restaurant is located inside. First I came out of convenience, but most of the food is really good! I love that everything is made to order, and they’ve always been great about working with me and my dietary restrictions. The salads are yummy, and the steak is better than I expected! The sandwiches and fries that I’ve seen companions get look delicious! Ting has been our waitress the past few times and she’s awesome.

Food was good and service was amazing! Kathleen was a great server! Very attentive and super friendly. Would come back here agains for sure. Parking is free which I hard to find at a restaurant in the west loop. Ask for Kathleen, she’s is the sweetest!

It was a long walk home from the Bulls game and apparently due to the holiday everything closed early… well we were starving so hotel restaurant it was. The bartenders were kind and made a really good sangria and my husband had a local draft beer. You know I wouldn’t probably take my mom there on a tour of Chicago but it was much better than Jimmy Johns or a dollar menu. Prices were not bad for the hotel restaurant and portion was huge! My picture shows about half of my meal left because there was so much!

Good food and good service, but it has a very cavernous feel inside. With a name like«Dine,» I expected something more intimate, especially considering the quality of the food. Oh well, that’s a silly complaint since dinner was still good.

I’ve eaten here twice, once for dinner and once for breakfast. I thought the food was good and the price was fair. The service was good, although they need to keep a door person at the front. I stood for a couple of minutes each time before I was noticed.

Had the worst experience of my life me and my wife wanted to grab something to eat so we decided to stop by dine restaurant we were by the neighborhood so we decided to try something new while we took a couple of minutes to look at the menu my wife noticed there was a cockroach on the floor just crawling all over the place until a waiter kill it and just kick to to the side instead of cleaning it up after that my wife appetite just flew out the window very unsanitary so be careful if you eat at this place might have a bug in your food if your not careful they migjt be infested

Very disappointed. Biscuits and gravy were very strange and did not taste good; it was sour and biscuits were dry. Eggs were cold and likely came from a powder. Several better options in the west loop.

Very nice food, especially the burgers or the breakfast. However, service can be a bit slow, and prices are up there. Despite this, when our waiter was actually there, they always are very understanding and have never messed up my order.

Perfect quiet place for the family. Easy to get to quiet, they meet my special requests, there are many. I order things that may not be on the menu. One of my party, didn’t like what was served & they brought something different. The food is wonderful, I’ve never been disappointed.

My family and I came in on a Saturday night after my son’s hockey game at Johnnie’s Ice House and at first I was a little nervous as it’s attached to the Crown Plaza Hotel and when we walked in at 7:30 we were the only diner’s in the restaurant. However, having the whole place to ourselves was great, the service was very attentive as you would expect if you were the only ones in the place. The scallop appetizer with the Farro was outstanding as was the fried goat cheese. The menu offers some real comfort food including a design your own mac and cheese which is great for kids and adults. The chicken and the pork chop were perfectly cooked and delightful. I would have given 5 stars but the fried green tomatoes were not breaded with cornmeal and although good could have been a little better. Reasonably priced for the downtown and worth the trip plus valet parking is complimentary.

I have been there two times now for lunch on two different days. They have free parking if you are coming to the restaurant. The service was okay. The restrooms were clean. It was nearly empty both times when I came in. The food was nice but nothing special.

This is a hotel restaurant. The food is good tasting and the service is quick and friendly. The portions are huge, particularly when ordering lunch or dinner. Breakfast, the meal I usually had here, was tasty and they had a good selection. Nothing terribly healthy, but you can customize your order to make it healthier. The atmosphere is good. It’s comfortable and I enjoyed reading my morning paper while eating breakfast(yay hotel free papers!).

We are really batting horribly since our company move to the Greektown /West Loop area. Dine continues the streak. Went for lunch. 12:05 and the place was empty. Not a good sign. Service was OK considering we were one of the few there. but food was«meh» as the 2 star rating describes. I had penne dish and they added radicchio to it. I guess I could have ordered without it but it’s not that I don’t like radicchio, it can be delicious if combined correctly, but not with Fennel Sausage, Basil and Shaved Parmesan. it basically threw in a bitter taste that although edible, not anything I would order again. Dad always taught me not to order pasta dishes at non-Italian restaurants. oops. But that being said, Dad would have approved of the choice the other diner being the BLT. Again, meh. she was hungry as hell or she probably wouldn’t have eaten the half a sandwich(which is a lot for her, but I digress…) Oh and for the prices of these meals — $ 16 and $ 12, I could have found much better at Marianos or at the food truck illegally down the street. I tasted the fries. they looked good, but looks can be deceiving as once I tasted, it was sad and soggy, kind of like our experience at Dine. I would only go there again if I was drunk and someone else paid.

Love this place. Fits a little bit of every need. Great place to hang out at and have some drinks before a night out or sporting event. Or just a low key place to hang out if you want to unwind and enjoy a drink. The bartender, Paul, is super personable and makes the experience at Dine a 5 star. He really knows how to whip up a mean cocktail and will throw out some random jokes every now and then. Very nice dimples too! Food is very good and satisfying. Scallops and Caesar Salad dressing are top notch. P. S. Ask what the soup of the day is!

If this place were a little less expensive, I would probably give it 5 stars. The food and ambiance is just not impressive enough for the price. My boyfriend and I found a certificate, so we decided to go here before a Bulls game. We went around 5:15 and the place was empty. I guess we were a little early for dinner. The hostess and server were both very nice. We ordered just one drink each because they were pretty expensive. I loved my drink which was some sort of concoction with Bailey’s in it. I wish I could remember what it was called. Then we both had pasta dishes. The portions were pretty large, but still it was nothing too exciting or impressive for the price we paid. We had a nice time and people did start to arrive as we were leaving, so I know that more than just us had dinner there that night. I would come back maybe for after work drinks or for the lunch specials. I probably wouldn’t choose to come here again for dinner just because of the prices.
