If you are looking for a dance company to send your child, do not go here. I would give zero stars if it was an option They treat the families of their dance members poorly. They are also extremely behind on technology when it comes to collecting payments for costume and dance classes. The receptionist made a mistake when collecting my credit card information which resulted in a bill past due(of only $ 24 dollars) — which I did not find out about until the day they were ready to distribute costumes because anyone with a past due account could not get a costume. On top of that, their credit card machine was malfunctioning so they could not swipe my credit card in order to update my account. They would not accommodate this special circumstance in fear of it being an inconsistency in their policy of absolutely no costume distributed to anyone with a past due account. I was disturbed by this lack of consideration because I paid for the costume several months prior and had made all other payments on time. I seriously felt like I was being punished for a mistake their receptionist made. Like most dance companies, they require you to spend a lot of money($ 75) on a costume that will be worn for approximately 3 minutes on stage. They require you to order shoes and tights from their store(another $ 27) — even if you have the exact same color of shoes and tights– the brand must also be the same. This superficial uniformity seems a bit extreme for a 4 – 5 year. It is certainly not a «value» in life I want to enforce on my child. They require you to pay for the costume in October when the performance is in June. It seems to be a business tactic in order to get dance members to commit for the academic year. If you end up being unsatisfied with the company, you have already financially committed to the company for the performance. I don’t mind making the payment but i was really nervous about which size to order because my child would go through several growths spurts and I did not want a costume that was too big or too small. I was also bothered by the fact that they did not even know what costume they were ordering but you had to pay on time or you would be charged a late fee. They also surprise you with other payments you must make throughout the year such as admission price for seats to 2 nights of performances, and the cost of photo packages in which your child is required to attend. I keep hearing from people that all dance companies require expensive costumes, etc but I hope they treat people better than Dance Infusion. I hope Dance Infusion decide to treat their loyal patrons more fairly.
