I get that it’s a Friday during Lent, but where’s my chicken at? I didn’t ask for no chicken!!! I’m ticked off, hungry and don’t have time to go back there! I won’t be returning to this location ever again! I didn’t expect a chopped salad without the chicken! Grrrrr!

This is like the best spot to come for lunch since its not on a Main Street doesn’t get as packed as other places in the loop. The staff are friendly and polite which makes it a plus since you are using your hard earn money. Lol the food it’s good food I mean who doesn’t like a panini and pasta. Desserts are extremely good I must say.

Good spot to stop for lunch during the work week. I usually never go to Corner Bakery for lunch outside of work. Their breakfast is good. The line can get long around 12:10pm. I would suggest getting there earlier. Service is fine and the food quality can very if you eat here enough. The tomato soup is awesome on a cold winter day. The Wi-Fi is pretty broken though. Their new grilled flat breads are good.

Food is good. Staff is friendly. The monster cookie(when fresh) is delicious. But their service is so slow. A cup of soup? 15 minutes. Every time. When you are in the loop and you aren’t a restaurant with table service-you should be fast. I will go back because I enjoy the food– but not if I am in a hurry.

I have to update & remove a star… the quality at this location has seemingly gone downhill. The wait times are out of control, & if you want anything remotely specially done to your meal(i.e.: no mayo, etc.) prepare to wait upwards of 15 minutes. They’re often out of items listed on the menu & it just seems that the cashiers could care less. It’s still your standard Corner Bakery fare, but I’m bummed that this Corner Bakery isn’t as great as it used to be.

Good food, lively atmosphere, friendly staff, but the, WiFi here is terrible in ways I haven’t seen since 1995. I was looking for a place to get a little work done, but I had no choice but to eat and move on. Sadly, I doubt I’ll be back. :(

Though I still prefer Panera, when I came back here last week I felt that the wait time had significantly improved, even during busy weekday lunch hour. I got a combo with roasted tomato basil soup and the harvest salad with chicken. The soup was okay, a little plain, but the salad was better. I liked the taste of the apples, the toasted nuts, and the tangy cheese. Not bad! Go with that salad and you should end up with a satisfying lunch, if not a great one.

Catering Review: Our non-profit uses this Corner Bakery on a regular basis(at least once a month) for catering for our trainings. We have always had great service and our training participants enjoy the food… especially the sweets! Mini-sandwiches and the Harvest Salad are also favorites of our group. One of the managers, Brad, always makes sure that our order is correct and is willing to deal with our non-profit tax exempt paperwork without any issues. The woman who usually makes the delivery, Karina, is friendly and a great help in setting up the food and making sure that we have everything that we need. I’ve referred this Corner Bakery to others in the area and will continue to do so!

This place has some really rude employees, and isn’t worth your money or your time. I would go someplace else if your looking for a subpar breakfast or lunch. I was in there this morning and the women taking my order was rude and homophobic. i’m not usually one to make a stink about stuff but, this women was just plain mean and I wont be going back.

After a meeting in the area, I paid this place a visit. With 100 meal combinations and an overflow of sweet treats, it took me a minute or two to figure out what I wanted for lunch. I ended up having the chili, California sandwich and an apricot rugalach along with a cup if lemonade. Perfect! The restaurant, staff and overall experience was absolutely great!

Some Loop lunch spots suffer from outrageously-slow lines and a lack of seating, but I haven’t had those problems at this CB.

I was heading out to lunch with a friend, and I needed comfort food. I’m kind of into eating so I ordered a full sized caesar salad and the three cheese mac and cheese, which totaled $ 11.01. Oh, the wonders of a young metabolism. Caesar salad: Eh. I didn’t finish the whole thing because it just was not that good. The dressing had too much fake garlic taste or something. I wasn’t amused. Definitely would not order again. Three cheese mac and cheese: Comfort food craving satisfied. It’s not the best macaroni and cheese I’ve ever had, but it was pretty good for a fast food sandwich type place. This isn’t the kind of place you go out of the way for, but it is convenient.

This review is strictly based on service. First thing in the morning, while picking up my morning coffee on my way to work I decided to stop at Corner Bakery. Extremely friendly service received from the two workers I interacted with, I received full smiles and a how are you from both! I tried one of their specialty lattes and was very pleased with my purchase! Definitely made my morning!

Great spot for lunch in the Loop. The menu offers many options to suit any palate and also many combos under 600 calories for those watching their figures. The staff is friendly, efficient and fast. It does get crowded at lunch time though so I prefer to go at off-peak hours.

This place gets freakishly busy at lunch time. There’s nothing alarmingly bad about this Corner Bakery, but there is also nothing amazingly good about it. The staff is more or less apathetic, and the food is nothing more than average. Many of my friends like coming here, and as a result, it serves its purpose.

They infest the damn city like a plague. The food(mac n cheese) wasn’t bad, but the service was dreadfully slow and I just found myself wishing the location was used by another restaurant. Any other restaurant, really.

Alright, making amends with CB might come sooner than later. I’m gonna add 2-stars mainly because the entire staff remembered me from my unfortunate«Hair-In-My-Bagel» incident, and have been super nice to me ever since. Service has been fantastic, and the food has been great. I am also the Mayor on Foursquare now, so even kingdoms need second chances, right? Right.

I gave this location one more chance when my co-workers were looking for a good place to grab soup for lunch on a cold Autumn day. I ordered: ½ Mac & cheese + ½ salad(mixed greens w/house dressing) The mac & cheese comes with bacon normally, but I was very specific when I ordered saying I didn’t want bacon(I’m a vegetarian). First, the order came out slow… meaning, 2 of the 4 of us had food for 5 minutes before the others. When my order finally did arrive, I swear there was bacon in it. So, I took it up to the counter to let the staff know and their attitude was the same my second visit to this location as the first: dismissive and uncaring. However, I will say: The gal who rang my order came out personally to apologize for the mistake. She even offered to give me a free dessert. After her offer, the manager came out with my original mac & cheese in a take out container and showed it to me, claiming there was no bacon in the order, that was I was seeing were red pepper flakes. First of all, I appreciate her looking into the matter further to ensure her staff member didn’t make a mistake in ringing the order. However, I stick to the fact that there was, in fact, bacon in the order(I even consulted my meat-eating friends before I asked them to remake the order). Secondly, I didn’t appreciate being called out by the manager that I was wrong. I prefer if she’d just left it be(what happened to ‘The customer is always right’?) I will not return to this location again.

We ate here two days in a row for breakfast and each day the food was awesome. The service was okay but they were very slow on the busing of tables was very slow. In short, reasonably priced good food.
