Girl friends and I had a fabulous time on a Friday night here. They were very nice and welcoming. They even have wine glasses and regular glasses, as well as bottle openers for the BYOB bit.

Decided to arrange a Girl’s ’ Sunday Paint Fest after purchasing an amazon local voucher. Although the location is off a side street on Halsted; it was easy to get to and the studio was super cute. Loft style with art on the walls as well as a small gallery in the back. Gina the owner was very nice & accommodating. The class was small only 6 women(2 sep groups) but if you’re an amateur or seasoned artist… you’ll still have fun. The instructor Ricardo(whose work is in the gallery) was very good; patient & helpful. Although I’ve had art experience from my high school days it was fun; relaxing & therapeutic. It’s a byob & we also brought chips/salsa. I’m glad Painted Rubbish was our first«BYOB Painting Party» since there’s a lot of them in the city. There’s something rewarding about tapping into your creative side via paint & brushes! I’ll definitely be back. Thanks Gina for a great first time experience!!!

I got this as a birthday present and have never really painted before and neither had my friends. They made my friends and feel very welcome right from the start! Our instructor came around to everyone in the class making sure we were comfortable with each technique and made sure everyone was doing well. She was not only a great instructor making things simple for those of us who had never painted before but also added humor into the class as well. My friends and I were planning on coming back before the class even ended. We cannot wait to go back :-)

I did this art class with Bolingbrook Fun Run Club last night. The staff(Gina, Joe, Carly and instructor Visum were so awesome and friendly. They give you an apron, paint, yes the snacks could be better(cheese balls, pretzels) but this is really not a big deal. So if your on a gluten free diet bring your own. They provide brushes and paper towels too. I think next time I am bringing my own brushes, since I do like painting. Also they encourage you to interpret the art the way you want. One girl drew tee pee’s instead of houses. I could not believe we all did such an awesome job, our instructor was so patient too! By the way you don’t have to bring wine, you can bring beer. I definitely plan to be back again with my husband.

This was a blast! It was a little difficult to find but worth the wait!!! The teachers and everyone who work there are fantastic! I was a little lost outside and Joe helped me! Nasim was our painting instructor and was the greatest! Her directions were easy and I felt like an amazing painter! They had good music playing and you could bring your own wine! The people we’re very friendly, encouraging and super sweet!!! Very attentive group! My running club and I went together and we loved every minute!

I love this place! The staff is GREAT!!! Willing to work with you to create a fun, friendly environment to relax, and enjoy. The only suggestion I have is to make the class a half hour or hour longer. We went over our scheduled time, which didn’t seem to be a problem, but I felt rushed myself. AMAZING staff, thank you Gina as well for being so fun and helpful!

The folks behind Painted Rubbish are just the sweetest. The store is super cute and filled with up-cycled and painted items for purchase and for inspiration. Thanks to Pinterest, I’m kind of obsessed with up-cycling window panes and PR had some already done up for sale/inspiration. PR also offers painting classes called«Corks and Brushes» and that’s the reason I was out there one night. In just a couple of hours, you’ll go home with a painting done by your very own hands. No skill or prior experience needed! You can sign up to join a class or host a private party. My friends were celebrating a birthday and because they had enough guests, were able to get the private room. We were able to bring in food and drinks, even offering an electrical outlet for us so my friend could bring meatballs in a crock pot. Awesome. Either way you attend, the instructors are super sweet and super kind(I hated my picture but Gina was so enthusiastic and encouraging – I did like my painting by the end of the night). The picture you paint is determined by the class you attend, and that’s all listed in the calendar online. They do offer wine for purchase too and the night I attended it was horrifically snowy that many gals were late to class. The instructors kept me company and gave me a complimentary glass wine – totally unnecessary but so thoughtful. I really want to come back here soon! For our group of about 15, we paid $ 20 each. The location is kind of hidden, mapquest took me right there, but it seems my friend’s GPS were giving them the run around. It’s not too far from Del Rea’s chicken basket, tucked away in a semi-industrial park next to 55.

This store is an absolute delight! The owner has a fabulous eye for detail — showcasing her latest finds from estate sales and ‘repurposing’ vintage furniture into must haves! Great prices on beautiful glassware, great fresh ideas for decorating — I couldn’t get past the front door and had to circle back through the store twice before my senses could calm down to focus on what I loved the most. Have been back, never disappointed and it’s a great place to go with the girlfriends. Gina is always wonderful — she’ll help you with any ideas you have for your home or gift selection. It’s not just home décor — jewelry, small gift items, candles and more! Offering classes is a fabulous way to have a girls night out — or to turn into a ‘gift registry’ and have family help a new bride furnish the new home! In a great location — after you have done your retail therapy you can have a bite to eat at many of the cute restaurants in downtown La Grange. Painted Rubbish is a ‘must-stop’ destination!!!
