I have never had Pakistani food before and it was an excellent experience. I went with a friend who introduced me to Clifton Grill. The presentation and variety of foods was very impressive. The chicken tandoori was a standout. Excellent flavors, generous portions and high-quality ingredients as well. I am glad to hear they deliver and will glady be back to this establishment. Great experience. Would recommend everyone to try it.

A friend and I dined at Clifton Grill tonight and found the food to be excellent. We had a sampling of several different items — all were very good, but the cheese naan and chicken tandoori were standouts. Excellent flavors, generous portions and high-quality ingredients. We also learned that they have a wide delivery radius. I’ll be back for sure. This is a nice change of pace from the typical downtown and north-side dinner joints.

I am not a bog fan of restaurants on Devon ave to be honest. Every time I have been here, I’ve only left disappointed. But this time, my out of town friends really wanted to visit Devon, and what luck that we got here at midnight when not a lot of restaurants are open. My vegetarian husband was happy he found a menu with plenty of vegetarian options. We were a famished party of seven after a LONG day in the city. Everything from the owner, Mr. Rahat holding the door for us to amazing tandoori chicken, fish pakodas, chicken Korma, mutton pulao, paneer butter masala, tadka daal and the magnificent NAAN’s were amazing. Prompt service at 1 in the morning, with owners as cheerful as ever. We were so happy that the meals reminded us of our homes, we wanted to meet the chef, Lo Behold, it was Mr Rahat’s talented wife. We loved every bit of this place, especially the wooden bench outside. Lastly, we were so full, but needed to try their dessert, so we got another ge, the faluda kulfi. It was delicious, topped with tapioca. I wish the ice cream was smoother but who cares, bellies were full and it wasn’t a big hit on the wallet. Loved it. THANKYOU! We’ll be back again.

I am a north Indian and obviously know Indian food. I ordered delivery– shahi paneer and vegetable biryani. It was terrible, bland and oily. The container with paneer was half filled with oil. Biryani was bland, absolutely tasteless

I wish I could give this 0 rating. The delivery service is worst, waited for like 2 hours for food. I think the worst service provider in Chicago

This place is amazing! Get the mutton korma boneless, you will not be disappointed. I always eat here so I do not know the quality of the delivery, but it is truly amazing if you eat in. Also get the faluda desert, its an unique combination of unknown delights.

I always come here and get the mutton korma with garlic naan, and top it off with faluda for dessert. The mutton korma is the best Pakistani dish I Have ever had, and debatably one of my favorite dishes in Chicago! Every time I come, I’m surprised because I have forgotten how good it is. Dipping the garlic naan into the korma is the best move you can make, and you wont be disappointed. I have tried many places on Devon and this is the best by a landslide!

I just ordered delivery and am so glad I did. I’ve been suppressing cravings for Pakistani food for weeks since I work late and in a restaurant — by the time I get home I’m usually too exhausted to want to cook anymore. So I got out early last night and ordered food from Clifton Grill when I got home. It took a bit of time, but I was cool to wait. Delivery driver was kind and courteous. He handed off his food and I said, «Where’s your coat?»(it’s pretty cold tonight). Anyway, I opened everything and it was still hot, all was delicious! The fools that reviewed this place negatively either have never had Pakistani food before or are expecting a ton of meat. No, this is exact, the technique for each dish is dead on. Really lovely. Keep up the good work, I will be ordering more frequently. :)

So I am writing this review even though I have yet to receive my food, because… I have yet to receive my food… 2 hours to wait for a delivery is ridiculous, especially when the estimate was 50mins to 1hour We have called twice. First time we were told«it’s just around the corner», 20mins later we call to be told that their delivery drive had a puncture and was going to be another 20−25mins. WTF? Whether or not that is true, who knows. Even if it is, they why didn’t you call us to tell us that? I will revise this review up if the food ever gets here and is actually any good(and not cold)…

Literally the best Pakistani food I’ve had in Chicago til date. I’d highly recommend this to any out of towners visiting chicago as well as locals. Friendly service and most importantly, clean good perfectly spiced home-style selections. Highly recommend the chicken tikka with lime, raita and garlic nan. Everything else is great too. Regular chai, Kashmiri chai and/or kavaa tea all great way to end your meal. Went for 2nd time and so I’ve updated my review since I think it’s great. Enjoy, promise you’ll love it

Giving them five stars simply based on their amazing seasoned fries. So freaking good.(My friends also had a variety of naan that was amazing.)

I hate when I get cravings in the weeeeeee hours of the morning. It’s annoying. Especially when I think that NOBODY is serving the food I want to eat. After thinking that I was going to have to settle for some dry tacos from a late night spot in the Uptown area, I furiously scrolled through GrubHub and Unilocal and eventually found Clifton. And guess what?! Despite it being 2am, they were still alive and kicking! Awesome sauuucceeeee! I got my order of Butter Chicken and proceeded to wait. The wait was along the lines of 20 minutes or so, but as long as my food was fresh, I didn’t care. There is a small area to wait for takeout but there is also a medium sized dining area if you decide to dine in or chill while waiting for your grub. If I’m not mistaken, I think they also deliver almost just as late. Food was delicious. Some of the best Butter Chicken I’ve had while on my Indian food kick on the Northside. Plenty of food for leftovers as well. No complaints here!

We got delivery and had never tried it before. The food was really very good. The size of each thing we ordered was pretty small. The garlic naan was one piece, and each entrée barely filled the to go containers. Also, the web didn’t include descriptions, so thanks for the help, Google!

My family and I were looking to find a place that delivers and close by. We decided to give this place a try. We called ordered a Philly Cheese steak, Chicken Philly, Gyros Sandwich and a Chicken Fajita. After ordering I asked for how much the delivery charge will be, they told me to hold and I waited and I could hear everything they said, knowing their language I heard someone say charge him $ 10 and I just continued waiting, about few mins later I get another call, answer it and they told me the total, I asked about the delivery charge and he said it’s $ 7, even though I live about 1 miles away and I asked him in shock and he said $ 5. I didn’t want to argue and was hungry so I agreed. When the food arrived, it was horrible. My mother and father didn’t eat and I got a stomach ache. Really couldn’t believe how bad the food was. I don’t recommend this place at all. Hope the management straightens up their act and learn how to make good food.

I m reading some of one star review here, Seriously??? I been ordering from them since they open and guess what, I am lucky enough find this restaurant. even they deliver it to my door even 4am lol. Beside great food they’re great people as well, what I like the most is the owner of the restaurant humbleness, best thing to try their with my opinion is App: Dahi Bala, Entrée: Nihari, Mirchi Keema, Dal, Kababs and Naan. Keep the good work Sir and thank you for delivering me that far(40 minutes away from your restaurant). Kamran

I kind of wanted to give it a 1 star because of my experience but the owner of the restaurant is really nice so I’m going to leave it at 2, why not higher you ask? Lol well: 1. They took 1 hour and 30 minutes to deliver the food. The food was made within 30 minutes so the delivery process took an hour… and I am only 3 miles away… 2. The food is tasty but… The stingy chef decided to only give 5 pieces of meat(was it 5? It was between 3 – 5 so let’s just say it’s 5 because I’m nice lol). I had a goat curry, looked plenty but really only 1⁄10 of it was meat and the rest is stuff I don’t want to eat. The chicken tikka masala… Well… Also 1⁄10 meat and rest is curry but at least it was flavorful enough… Good thing I got 2 naans… else it would just go straight into the trashcan and 50 $ wasted on that… 3. Their fish pakora tasted pretty good, good portion… Probably bc the fish pieces are really small but the dough has a pretty good depth so If you want something from this place I would say get that. It’s the only thing that’s worth it’s price. Their curry is sold at the same price as chicago curry house but chicago curry house gives so much meat like omfg the portions i miss it so much

Never ordering from here again unless I’m ONLY ordering samosas and naan… Their chicken dishes, even the ones they say boneless, are ridden with bones! Everything I’ve ordered from here after the first experience, I’ve put on grubhub«No bones please» even when it’s a boneless dish. It still ends up ¾ bones! I had to take 2 forks to get what little meat was on the bones, off the bones even used my fingers to eat what little chicken was there… its all bone and gristle… What a waste… They have great samosas and garlic naan, maybe I’ll fair better with beef dishes but now I’m too nervous to try… Already wasted too much money here…

Worst food & delivery experience I’ve ever EVER had!!! I really hate this place & found it necessary to rage Unilocal them cuz my rage still burns bright 3 days later. A couple of friends & I ordered 4 dishes for delivery at 1:30am. Granted it was late but they’re supposed to be open till 3am! Ordered chicken tikka masala, chicken biryani, garlic naan, paneer, & chicken wings. It was Friday night & we were drunk & we wanted Indian food. They promised delivery in 45 minutes. Lemme tell you, 45 minutes is an ETERNITY when you are absolutely starving & when there’s 3 drunk girls starving in the middle of the night, you should bring our shit in 45 minutes if you say you’re gonna bring our shit in 45 minutes. First of all, they didn’t deliver my food till 3 in the fucking morning. That is ANHOURAND A HALFLATER. We called a couple times after the one hour mark & they promised to call back with an updated ETA(never happened) & when they accidentally picked up our call again, they said 5 minutes, 5 minutes(totally false). BUT, to be fair, the double delivery time was not even the worst of it. The food was really bad. Really, really, really bad. None of us could even identify what was what. They sent 2 boxes of rice(like the 8.5×11 size boxes). Then they sent 4 soup containers filled with. Soup? One that was tinted red was what we assumed was the chicken tikka masala– they forgot the chicken, and the tikka masala. It tasted like a watery bowl of soup(unidentifiable flavor). The paneer was so awful. It seemed like someone chewed it up & threw it up cuz the texture was chunky & disgusting. I can’t be sure it was paneer cuz the disgusting green slop kept me from eating any of it. There were also 2 other soup containers. One was yellow & one was green. I am convinced the green one was salsa verde but we could not agree whatsoever. Boo clue what the chunky yellow one happened to be. The garlic naan was also one piece that came flat(not fluffy), no garlic, & it was obviously taken out of the oven 2 weeks ago & left on the counter & then wrapped up in foil for delivery to our home(stale). All of it went into the trash. BUT the chicken wings were surprisingly delicious.
