Great filming experience at this location. Recently went here for a casting of Chicago PD. Layout was setup perfect. To create a bar in a huge warehouse definitely took a lot of work. Staff was great as well. If you ever get a chance to work here be prepared to wait a long time. But definitely worth it.

Make sure your car doesn’t break down in the neighborhood. It’s a litttttttle sketch. Get there before your call time and grub down on the omelet bar, french toast station, made-to-order waffles, or smoothie/cappucino bar from Mario’s Catering. Wardrobe will check you and tell you you didn’t need those three other change of clothes. If you don’t know where the stages are, you’ll never find them — tag along with a PA or main character. Marvel at the scale replica of Station 51 and Molly’s Bar on the«Chicago Fire» set. Oh yeah — be prompt, quiet, attentive, and respectful. If they like you, Mouch, Mills, Hermann, and Cruz may invite you out for a smoke in the alley on 15th Place. When they do, just keep quiet and enjoy the hilarity. Craft services is amazing. Like, more Slim Jims and Fruit Roll Ups than you’ll ever see in your life. Shooting will always take abut an hour longer than you need it to. If you’re trying to make it to your job as a real firefighter or even make last call at a downtown bar, it’s never going to happen. Ever. If you’re doing a «Molly’s» scene, try to post up at the bar. The NA beer isn’t bad, but the fake cocktails are just diet soda and water. But what do you care? It’s 8 in the morning.

Chicago has not been so fortunate since Oprah. Here we are with some of the DePaul and Columbia College students showing the studios and the potential of what they can be about. The whole structures are about 58 acres of steel buildings and warehouse space that is now the Cinespace movie studio located off of Ogden avenue. If you are a make up artist, actor or student of film, than this a must to show up and see the productions. It’s a bit chilly in some parts of the halls but considering that the lights heat up the space really quickly, enjoy it. On any given day you may see some of the actors in Chicago Fire or maybe Chicago hope. And a little bit of Chicago filming: «BOSS» season 1 and 2 were filmed here and yet no one ever knew! You may pass the studio up and never know what’s going on inside or you can actually see one of the actors walking to Ogden getting a hot dog at the seasonal stand. Some of the Bollywood film«Doom 3» was filmed here also and that’s a big source of revenue for the city. Pat Quinn and the former Mayor Daley, made sure that Chicago would also be on the map when it came to Hollywood filming, and sources tell me that a new sitcom is underway, but shhhhh! You didn’t hear it from me. So if your not a student it may be difficult to check the place out, but wow the memories thy are being created here should e interested! Walking Dead perhaps?
