This was my first time at YumYum and it was great! The food was excellent. The portions are huge and underpriced if you ask me. I ordered online and the food was hot and ready by the time I arrived. No wait at all. I will definitely be going back.

Do not order the wings. The menus says 8 pieces, but the receptionist said you only get four, cut in half. What the hell does that mean? I always order from here but never again. So to finish the story, I paid $ 16 plus tip for 8 stale ass chicken wings.

This was above average– very solid. Tried Tso, Orange chicken, Chow Mein and fried rice. The «Spicy» was not, but I have had much worse here in Chicago. This reminded me of mall Chinese, but I love mall food. I give it a B.

My go to Chinese place when I’m in the west loop. I always get their general tso chicken, extra spicy. Delivery takes forever. But you can pick it up in 10 – 15 minutes.

I love this place! I have been to this restaurant many times and it never fails to please. Delivery is always shorter than the time stated and the food is piping hot every time. The people are so friendly and I just love the food and everything about the experience with this restaurant.

We love this place. My friends and I have ordered from here many times when hanging out and having a night in to watch TV or what have you.
At the end of the day, I don’t know anyone who wants a 5star chineese takeout place, but this is one of the better in the city. You get what you would expect when you are looking to veg out.
We have only done delivery, and it sometimes can take a while, but they are pretty up front about that when ordering. One time, the driver was not able to take a credit card tip which is odd. But beyond that always get what we are looking for.

A little carryout joint stuck in the middle of Greektown, but they sure do deliver, both literally and figuratively. Their menu is a well used staple in my desk drawer, a great option for 3rd shift carryout, since they are open until 5am.
The BBQ pork fried rice is my main choice, and even in the wee hours of the morning it is always fresh, mildly fluffy, and flavorful. The crab rangoons are good as well, with a good cream cheese to crab ratio. Wonton soup has a very flavorful broth, and tender dumplings. Egg rolls are the only thing I can’t seem to rave about. The are usually overcooked, and the filling is just a flavorless mush.
Delivery during the day is always prompt and friendly, and the restaurant is also on GrubHub, which is even more convenient.

Underwhelming. Pork Potstickers were unbelievably doughy… didn’t even eat the majority of them. Hot and sour soup is just a little bland. It needs condiments for sure.
Definitely not my go to. Not angry about it… didn’t expect much and wasn’t surprised, is all. Maybe we ordered the wrong things. People were nice though!

Probably the worst Chinese food I’ve ever had. Took one bite of an egg roll and spit it out. Quality of the beef with brocolli was comparable to a Taco Bell. Potstickers decent.

Not a review of the food but just the service quality.
Called to place and order for pickup, was told it would take 20 – 25 mins. Walked in after 25 mins, 2 dudes were ordering some food. Waited for a little while, Asian lady says not ready yet. Asked her how long it would take, she just says still preparing. After another 20 minutes, my order still wasn’t prepared and I was getting pretty frustrated. Then two orders came out for the 2 dudes who just placed their order. I just walked out at this point. Totally poor service, and at no point does the owner try to explain or check on the order to see if it was coming out. Another guy who was there apparently also had to remake his order cause they lost it. Reading through other comments, this is not surprising at all.

Ordered combination egg foo yung yum yum box and chicken and rice soup. Soup was not hot. Patties were extremely tough and clearly overcooked, NOT EDIBLE. Fried rice was lackluster, no veggies/​onions/​sprouts

This place is really cheap and the food is good! Of course, it isn’t the finest Chinese dining option in Chicago. But it’s a solid place to grab a quick meal if you like American Chinese. The General Tso’s is really good; just crispy enough, but not overcooked. And you can even sit inside of the restaurant and watch soap operas while you eat.

I am giving this place 2 stars because of their service. How in the world am I going to wait longer for takeout than delivery? Unacceptable. The main reason why I chose takeout was to avoid waiting an hour for my food.
For those wondering about their food — I highly recommend the combination fried rice.

Never going to order food from this place again. Delivery took 1hr & 30mins to get here; by then the food was cold. This restaurant seems to be extremely unorganized because if they were planning to deliver my food at a later time they could have made my order last instead of just letting it sit there and get cold.
Don’t get their yumyum boxes unless you want gritty plain fried rice with an occasional complimentary baby shrimp.

I waited an hour for my order, received the wrong order and I’m still arguing with the restaurant to get my money back. Do yourself a favor and don’t go here.

To be quite honest, I was skeptical about eating here, but I’m glad I did.
I placed an order originally to be picked, but due to the rain, I called and had them deliver the food. He told me he was swamped and would have it to me within 45 minutes and in 45 minutes, I received it.
I ordered the salt and pepper wings (spicy) and the Singapore noodles without the curry sauce. Both arrived hot and good. The chicken wings were exceptionally crispy (delivered) and delicious! I ate every single bite. I wished there were more jalapeños though! The Singapore noodles exceeded my expectations. It was so flavorful even without the curry sauce.
I would definitely order from here again when I’m back in town.
At its price point, its quality is on point. You can’t expect to eat 5-​star food at 1-​star prices. This was on good! Hell, my chicken was still crispy after being delivered!!!

University Village, Chicago, IL
UIC Students love this place because it’s open late and they can get food at 3 AM while they are studying (they deliver). It is in Greek Town (near Halsted and Jackson), so the walk is only 7 – 12 minutes from Library and less then 5 minutes if you live in the dorms. It’s cheap and it tastes descent, but it’s super oily! There are times when you can get the rice from the bottom of the pan and your food will be «oilier» then usual. Chances of that happening is 1⁄20.
They give you a lot of food though, and I’ll take that. It’s only carry out or delivery, don’t plan on dining in here. Also, it’s easy to just drive here and pick up your food too because there is always parking outside.
Overall, nothing too fancy, but not crappy either. Because it’s cheap, tastes good, and they give generous portions, I’m definitely a fan.

Considering there is a blizzard outside, delivery was rather fast and not TOO long after estimated. I ordered Vegetable Udon Noodles with tofu and a pineapple smoothie along with 2 vegetable rolls. The rolls didnt come with peanut sauce (sad face), the tofu was okay (I dont think they do anything it it before it’s cooked) and my smoothie… was peach but still yummy!
I would order again as they are open late but next time not during a blizzard… late night cant be helped since I work overnight
