Ham and cheddar waffles were amazing and waffle flight was great as well. Service wasn’t all that great but the food made up for it.

If you’re looking for a spot with good, fresh, soft and a bit crispy waffles… this is the place! Every time I come here I have to have a side of the mini waffles to go with my chicken breast, eggs, and potatoes. I’m very picky about ordering chicken breast at restaurants because sometimes they are not moist and juicy. This place has definitely pleasures my taste buds and has yet to disappoint me. So if you’re looking for good waffles and a great chicken breast. This is the place to go!

The clean décor and service are the only two good things about this place. The food is terrible. I could make better waffles and pancakes at home. If you have a bunch of kids and are on a budget, it’s probably fine. But don’t expect to go for a wonderful brunch experience.

The best!!! I am addicted and visit often. The food is amazing, especially the velvet waffles with caramel and chocolate drizzle topped with strawberry cream cheese and candied walnuts. Fast turn around, not a long wait at all and friendly hot staff!

Started a tradition here with my kids, we would come here on our way to our doctor or dentist appointments, usually on Fridays. The atmosphere is great, customer service is a plus. Food is amazing, not just because they have a special running Mon-Friday for $ 3.99 but the amount of food that you receive is so worth the price and you will get full. You should try it if you haven’t already.

I thought about three stars, but then I realized I really probably won’t come back here. Not that the food was horrible, but just that for all of the food options that there are, this food didn’t have much flavor to it at all for me. I got their ham and cheese special waffle where the waffles had ham baked into them and there was scrambled eggs on top and melted cheese. You would think all of those salty things and cheese would make it awesome, and it looked awesome presentation wise, but it really didn’t taste like much at all. And this made me sad because our server was so happy and wonderful and attentive, but the food just really was nothing special at all. Our group did get seated right away and for this particular area there are not a ton of restaurants around, but I really think that they could jazz up the flavor in their dishes a bit more. And their coffee also was not the best either. So if you are in this area, you could totally go here and they have a huge menu with lots of options so perhaps other things might be better, but other than the bright color for the décor and our awesome server, not sure food wise if it is up to par for me.

The owner lets his friend bring her dog in and it isn’t a service dog. Whether or not the dog is allowed to walk around is a mystery to me as I did not stay to find out.

Waffles galore! This was my first breakfast experience at Chicago Waffle that left me wanting to explore more of their menu. I am a huge fan of pastries and this place let me indulge in my passion for dough. The server expertly guided me to the Waffle flight platter that came in with 4 varieties of waffles. First one I tried was the Red Velvet kind that tasted like Valentine’s day, followed by an impressive Mexican Chocolate Waffle. I was going strong with a traditional variety one topped with Nutella and all of its Hazelnut goodness. Last was a crispy waffle with berries — great crisp but the topping was too sour to my delicate taste buds. I did enjoy Red Velvet the most and 3 out of 4 is really not bad. None of the waffles overwhelmed me with their sweetness. Décor and service were solid and I can’t wait to come back and try rest of the menu. Alex’s Yum Scale: 1 star — terrible, 3 stars — OK, 4 stars — good, 5 stars — excellent My rating: 4 stars Great waffles with Intelligentsia coffee — what more can you ask for a breakfast at 3pm?

FIRST, PLEASESTOPWITHTHEULTRALOWPRICES… Low prices mean lower quality food to me. Those in the neighborhood want good food and we WILL pay for it. Your prices are changing the dynamics of your clientele. Second as a restaurant manager myself, Please section off your restaurant so each server has their own section. There is way too much confusion going on with your servers. The food was good. I ordered a salad but the server returned and said there was no romaine. She brought me a menu and stood on top of me to reorder. No, go away and return I need a minute! I reordered and she left only to bring my daughters food to the table, of course not mine. That is a major NONO in the restaurant industry. My food didn’t come for at least 8 minutes. My daughter’s meal was obviously sitting in the window. When this happens remake the pancakes and eggs so they are fresh don’t bring them out so that one customer at the table only has their meal. I agree with another reviewer on here recently that said this place is going down hill. It has completely changed! The menu used to be so fresh and clean, and now it has tripled in size and nothing seems fresh. I always used to order and love the liege waffles. In the past, they were made very fresh, were light and buttery with sugar crystals inside, and topped with fresh cinnamon apples. This time, they were completely botched. Super thick and flavorless dough and cold canned baby food apples with no cinnamon. My husband took a bite of the waffle and was disgusted. I never ask to send food back– today was the 1st time I ever have. But the waitress didn’t understand that I didn’t want to eat it and brought it back again after heating up the apples. She didn’t ask if I would like to order something else and avoided the table when I seemed disappointed. Finally, another waiter came over to ask if things were okay, and I said no. He brought me a menu to reorder and I ordered 2 eggs and toast because I didn’t trust anything else on the menu. It was mediocre. I was so sad that the restaurant I used to love had changed so much. There is no way they can claim to be a Waffle House with the awful waffles they served today. They clearly have a new manager and cook. They took away the waffle bar that you could see from the countertop, as well as the fresh squeezed orange juicer. This place used to always have a wait(a sign that it’s good). Today we walked right in. Unfortunately, we won’t be walking in again.

Weekdays this place has a $ 3.99 Chicken Bacon Waffle selection on their menu. Omg. This is way better than McDonalds. I pay almost the same thing for 2 Sausage McMuffins downtown. Seriously! I mean, its a great way to sample their food for starters. I stop by whenever I want breakfast. It is delightful for dine-in. I wrote this review because I have pinned up excitement to share this delicious find! The staff is pleasant too!

I was really looking forward to this place. An easy walk from the Hilton. Wasn’t busy, and smelled divine. Got the waffle bacon egg and cheese sandwich.!Unfortunately the waffle was very dense and undercooked. Doughy even. I complained when the server came to check on me and she said only, «I’m sorry.» When check came, it was full price. Wasn’t happy. Maybe a fluke but probably not.

Had been here several times before and had sensational food and service, making me crave it again today. However, today they were extremely slow(waited. An hour for food after being seated, had to repeatedly stop, unorganized, rude and the food was mediocre. Won’t crave this place again. With as many great food options as there are in Chicago, they need to step up their game.

Ordered the waffles — small and a regular breakfast. The waffles were served cold but the problem was immediately corrected and they came back delicious. The breakfast plate was solid. Nice little café.

Great service, Awesome food!!! I love Waffles, we came for a late brunch and had the best time ever. We brought some champagne(BYOB) and enjoyed the afternoon eating our delicious breakfast and chatting away. There was no wait when we walked in which was also a huge bonus. I would definitely return for brunch!

Third visit, decided to get something other than waffles. The banana crepes sounded good: «Our crepes topped with bananas, candied walnuts and whipped cream». What actually came out: crepes topped with bananas and pieces of chives, along with raw pecans. Um. I hate, hate, hate making trouble for servers by sending a meal back. I even tried to eat it, but… chives. And bananas. I could have overlooked the raw not-walnuts…but not freaking chives and bananas together on a plate. There were only a few pieces of chives in there, but it was obvious that someone in the kitchen had chopped up some onions and then used the knife for the bananas as well. The flavor of chive was definitely in there. And I have no idea how the nuts got messed up. I felt horrible about it but had to send it back, and got the liege waffles instead. Once again(see previous review) they were not prepared correctly and didn’t have the sugar inside, and were also very dry and crumbly. My boyfriend also had liege waffles and agreed that they were not very good. I don’t know what’s going on at this place, but it seems to be going downhill. People with food allergies, watch out.

I absolutely love this place!!! Great environment! The servers are fast and sweet ladies! The food is amazing!!! If you have a sweet tooth I promise you they have the yummiest pancakes here. I live an hour away and you bet I would drive there for breakfast every morning if I could. Must try it! Better then the Yolk restaurant that’s down the street!

So this place has been here for a little while now. I always go to bongo room because I love the pancakes! Well today I wanted a change! Came over to waffles. OHMYGOD, I’m glad I did! First off, the place is cool and laid back. It’s on Michigan avenue near museum park so you’d think this would be some fancy expensive place. Food is fancy, food is great, staff is excellent, prices are low and did I say food is fancy and amazing? I got the 3.99 special and dang it is ALOTOFFOOD! It’s like basically free. I think I would have spent more at home if I made it myself. It comes out fast too. The place is casual which is nice. You never know when in prairie district/museum park. Like I just want to eat breakfast, I don’t need a fancy place. As a matter of fact especially when I’m about to go to work I don’t need some fancy pants place. It’s clean and has a fantastic atmosphere. Not a greasy spoon or hole in the wall. You can see the kitchen too, no secrets lol. It smells delicious too. Did I say how good the food was? You have to come to WAFFLES. It’s good, great, well dang can I say I love it? I’m vegetarian and I love it.

The best thing about here is that there is no wait and the service is timely. The seating is comfortable and the servers are polite and accommodating to the customers’ needs. They let us pick our seats and bring us milk for our coffee(there’s cream at each table). The food is great too so for no wait and friendly service, I would come here over more popular breakfast locales. We tried the red velvet waffles, ham steak with eggs, and corned hash with eggs. Oh and of course coffee, which is unlimited. Portions are substantial. The roasted potatoes that come with the egg dishes is perfectly cooked and seasoned, you also have a choice of toast or pancakes, both are great. There’s whipped butter and strawberry jam at each table, which happen to be my favorite toppings for toast. Highly recommend!

I used to dine more frequently when Waffles first open. I feel like the food is very inconsistent. I ordered the usual chicken and waffles which flavor was lacking and the waffle was too chunky and thick. The portion seemed larger and the quality is lesser. Please dont order the benedict with egg, because it didnt look appetizing nor did it taste good. Now, the food is just average.
