I have been a faithful customer for many years. I am very unhappy because none of the locations seem to know prices of gender reveal cakes on their website. I called all the locations and they all say e-mail us we’ll email u back. I was just inquiring to know what price range it would be. It seems to me, they should at least have a price list available. I understand prices depend on number of servings etc. How is it on your website and can’t even give an approximate price range?

A coworker brought doughnuts for everyone from here. I tried a few, boston cream, chocolate cake and a red velvet. The star was surprisingly the red velvet. I don’t generally do red velvet anything and really don’t know what made me try it but it was really good, good enough that I would actually purchase it myself. I probably will because I need to know if that was just an anomaly!

Calumet bakery is making history in the southdeering Eastside community. I remember As a child going there on Sunday evening and getting fresh hot doughnuts. There have been many bakeries in both communities that have come and gone. For those whom haven’t tried this bakery I’m sorry for you! George C

So, it’s 2011 and I bet everytime most people get a donut and/or a pastry kick(including me) they usually head on over to chain shops that have taken over America like Dunkin Donuts. Not that I’m not knocking Dunkin Donuts, but sometimes I just get a taste for something old fashioned! Something not manufactured by the millions or frozen, thawed, and rebaked! That’s when I head on over to Calumet Bakery! This bakery has been a neighborhood staple since… umm…the beginning of time? LOL. It’s been around since the 1940’s(I believe) which is wayyy before I was ever born. Their pastries and donuts are superb, to say the least. Think old fashioned cake donuts, sinfully delicious nut rolls, scumptious cheese danishes, a fantastic selection of homemade cookies(they sell those by the pound), and cheesecake and straberry shortcakes that also sell by the slice or full cake. Calumet Bakery is the top choice for baked goods for my meetings held at my job, when I’m in charge of bringing dessert to a party, or those mornings I want to treat myself to a little something extra for breakfast! However, their sheet cakes are okay. I head over to Jewel or Sam’s Club when I’m looking for a birthday cake! Unlike their pastries that are inexpensive and delicious, their cakes are a tad pricey and are too much«fluff» for me(read: WAYTOOMUCHFROSTING). p. s. Back in the day, they used to have a photo posted of ex-governor George Ryan beasting some of those delicious donuts! How legit does that make this place?!
