Perfect place to stop in for a cup of coffee, brunch, or a quick desert (the German Chocolate Cake and Strawberry Cake are 10 out of 10!)

Very casual, artsy, friendly café, You’ll, feel like home. Atmosphere is cozy. The service was quick and freshly made entrees to satisfy anyone’s tastes palate. I was greeted with a warm smile, and hospitality. I met the cook, she was very friendly and will cook whatever you like. The salad, I had was a Chicken/spinach it was big and so delicious, I returned a week later, to try their cake and brownies with coffee. Now I think I’m addicted. Thank you for making me happy.

Located at 4317 South Cottage Grove in the Bronzeville neighborhood, it engages you to enjoy a meal before the days of wi-fi, as the owner and chef will greet you, and get this, actually have a conversation with you. The lighting is something that your eyes do not have to work hard to adjust to and the music is an eclectic collection of Latin, jazz, and blues.
This grown-up environment will not disappoint as it makes for a great space for a first date, date night, or time out with just yourself.
